I'm stunned that these unknown musicians can actually play a Mahavishnu Orchestra number and make it sound pretty much as good as the original members of the band!
Great Job I was in Highschool when this music came out and saw them live a few times It was like no other music I had heard before it. You do the songs justice.
An excellent rendition of an excellent piece of music. I saw Mahavishnu Orchestra play numerous times, and they were always astonishing. You guys handled this tune very well, indeed.👍👍
I would assume any negative commenters on here don't actually play any instruments and can therefore be ignored. Mahavishnu himself doesn't sound this good anymore. You really captured the fury and intensity of these compositions. I appreciate the dedication it took to pull this off. Such special music needs to be kept alive.
Amazing that we have younger people playing this stuff and actually playing it in a live venue in 2011 I am assuming for money. Super job!! It is a shame pop stars today making huge money aren't musically qualified to carry this band's instruments out to their band truck. Glad to see folks keeping good music alive!
Congratulations for all! I saw a several bad comments here and you don't deserve it! I love how you give me the feeling of this amazing sound. Keep working and showing us your work!
amazing, great job boys and girl. just dont pay atention to smartass comments, you dont need to change anything, especially instruments, you sound great. respect
Pretty good job!! The synth solo is not bad at all, and the druming was superb, I just miss the Wah for the guitar, algo (as everybody else) LP would be a better option, Yet, Preety Fkn Good Job, not easy at all
@Wadsmitter An SG double neck was used live until he got the Double Rainbow guitar in '73, but the original studio recording, John used a (I believe) a '68 Black Beauty Les Paul through Marshall 100watt half stack, for which he blew up the first head and had to get it replaced with another one. That's how the story goes.. :-)
He doesn't need anything. Was perfect. We don't need to have the exactly tone or the same instruments from the original music. He deserves the congratulations, only that.
Maybe he has one you dope! What do you want him to do wear a white suit? Try affirming him and the band for being just awesome. If you can’t say something nice say nothing you dopey eeeejit!
If I had a country, this would be the national anthem. Great performances . Thanks.

I was in MO cover band right after high school. We had one frat gig. They hated us.
I think I found your problem.
Great Job

Wow, great show by the guitarist. He really nails those feverish guitar bends, what an electric performance. Whole band is great, very nice.
Man, these kids can play !!

Most humans have a very limited understanding and appreciation for music. It needs to be simple for the most part. Thus we have Pop (popular) music.
@@stretch54 And the dumbing down of the population relating to music and a lot of other subjects is just getting worse.
Admirable... Keep up the good work, boys and girl!
Wow great great work!
Such an awesome job ! Loved listening to you guys
Excellent!
Congratulations to the drummer. Even Billy Cobham can't play that stuff these days!
FANTASTIC JOB THE SPIRITS were there
Nice to see General Zod use his powers for good.

Hey Fred, you rule! Respect!
Great work. I used to play this with a band in the late 70's but we never got it this good.

for a guitar player , the challenge is on the right hand and it is the hardest challenge ever! good job indeed...
JML, Fripp, and Al di Meola are all great for developing a solid picking hand

++++++ Like remember youth......
ese violin...dejarlo que toque.
Regards to everyone....Thanks
Mannnnnnnnnnn!!!!!
Never found this before in all my searches for meeting of the spirits.... this was tremendous.. better sound than Mahavishnu O, to be real!
Agreed not bad at all + Agreed Les Paul needed also keyboard tone is cheese and would be nice to hear clean Rhodes tone
Pretty good job!!
The synth solo is not bad at all, and the druming was superb, I just miss the Wah for the guitar, algo (as everybody else) LP would be a better option, Yet, Preety Fkn Good Job, not easy at all
They rehearsed ;) I wanna start a Mahavishnu cover band ;)
Suck my balls. At least I tried loser.
FYI the guitar intro is played with the fingers on a strat.
Violin should stop the ostinato during guitar solo-same register/tonality too cluttered.
Great copy.
really good but you need a Les Paul mate.
@Wadsmitter This track was recorded with a les paul, dopey.

...otherwise not bad.
this is good but i don't think it's mahavishna..
You're right, it's Mahavishnu.
I don't understand, did John McLaughlin tell you you could use his name?
