Ehhhh, no. Aside from numbers the first order is significantly more powerful trooper for trooper, it's the benefit of a true sith rule that sets them apart. The first order replacing their empire counterparts but otherwise changing nothing would just be a significantly stronger empire in terms of non-sith led combat scenarios.

@@jimbodeek the Republic became the empire. The first order is founded from imperial remnants and it took them that 30 years to be what they felt was ready to retake the galaxy. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make but I only said that in a fight the first order military is better equipped and better trained than the empire. I'm not saying they could take the empire, they're too small, but an empire with first order troopers 1:1 replacing their own would be a net gain for the empire
I wish the default IA let us mix and match armies, I want Empire vs. Republic on Kamino like in the OG BF2 campaign mission
Install the instant action tweaks mod. There’s an option to have Republic VS Empire on all maps. I play with it and it’s awesome
