• Marine-grade Baltic birch plywood substrate with cross panel strength & stability (this helps to protect the flooring from humidity and moisture damage)
• Zero VOC from the adhesive (no damaging fumes)
• 100% Green - Cradle to cradle certification (Adds points to LEED projects) - The highest certification you can receive.
• Cold press method (the cold press adhesive is water-based) used to assemble the planks (This can be seen in the quality of the wood and eliminates bubbles within the structure to prevent moisture from getting in as well as bugs. Additionally, this process ensures that the molecular structure of the moisture resistant adhesive is not altered, thus preventing harmful VOCs from exiting). Most hardwood flooring manufacturers use a hot press which is similar to a hot glue gun. Their adhesive dries quickly which creates expansion and allows for the creation of air pockets (allowing air and moisture in) when assembling the plywood which will constantly allow harmful VOCs to be released for years to come.
• 2 layers of an All natural hard-wax oil which is then UV cured & pressed (the best quality finish you can get to protect your wood floor and it brings out the tannins in the wood to showcase the spectacular finishes and quality). Our floors have a 25-year finish warranty (highest in the industry) and they are considered lifetime finishes because of how easy it is to maintain them.
