I drove it over the Xmas holidays she is very quick great looks in person and I'd have to say is now my favorite Nissan I plan on getting one soon.I tried it in the corners and was amazed how the awd system gets it through the corners flat and at high speed. Probably the best Nissan on the road today awd very quick and a very sweet cabin interior I love the body of it
I just heard about this car today, and it reminds me of a classic dune buggy mated with a Beetle or Mini Cooper, combined with some Vibe functionality. I was looking at larger, pricier cars, but now I can't help thinking how this car looks fun to drive with practical cargo capacity and economical fuel ratings, too. I'm going to have to check it out. Thanks for the great video!
yesterday i bought this car and i recommend everyone nissan juke 1.6 sport pack with spoiler, windshield, interior red, and brown color THIS CAR IS SO AWESOME people may say its 1.6 but top speed is smth like 203 km/h
When doing your acceleration test, I noticed the cvt seemed to "shift" a couple of times at 6000 RPM. Was that you doing that with the shifter ? Or does the juke just do that in sport mode. Any other 0-60 tests I have seen on RUclips dont rev up as fast, and they certainly don't "shift". (by far the best walkthrough of the Juke I've seen)
@datpimpinboy Because although it's a CVT, it has six manual gears behind it. The continuously variable part is the final drive ratio selector. In sport mode, it chooses the shortest (quickest-accelerating) final drive ratio and locks it in, then rows through the 6 gears. This is to avoid excess wear and tear on the CVT system. Where the CVT is most useful is in eco and normal driving modes.
@mikebarneynissan I wish all of the other "reviewers"posting vids would put the car in sport mode not normal mode when testing 0-60. Most seem to show around 7.8 or 8 sec. I looks to me like you succesfully did it in 7 seconds flat. This in a car that hasn't even been broken in yet. This looks like an awesome little car !!!!
@ mikebarneynissan I am very interested in this new Nissan. I have a question that I hope you might be willing and able to answer. It is advertised as iPOD compatible since apparently everybody is supposed to use Apple products nowadays to play their music .... Is this system compatible with ANY modern mp3 player or is it ONLY compatible with iPODS ? Thanks .
@mikebarneynissan Thank you sir. Your reply is much appreciated. I did in fact notice the input options and I have seen them in other videos as well as on the Nissan website. I was just not really sure if it was exclusive somehow to an iPOD like an iPOD dock in a Scion or whatnot . It is the way these types of features are advertised which makes me question their capabilities. Why so many companies specifically mention iPODs and not merely mp3 players is beyond me.
Seems like a car I need to check out - nice size and it's quick. Actually it looks like it shifts like a normal automatic , which is the way it shroud be .The worst CVT is the one in the Jeep , as it feels like the engine is trying to catch up to the tranny ..Good job Nissan .excellent price point for an all wheel drive little cute ute.. Later guys I'm off to the nearest Nissan dealer to get into debt .
I love the center console. Unfortunately, 8+ seconds to 60 is not fast, even for a sport cross. That's about average, and it's ashame it's so slow, even with a turbo. But, if you're not looking for performance, it's a nice little vehicle for under $20k.
slow...8 seconds 0-60. This reviewer really focused on a very good point though...it is easy to get in and out of..that is a very important buying feature.
nice car... i didn't even look at it when i bought a car last week... and kinda regret it. and as if he did a 0-60 with only 380miles (or km's not sure) on the engine... what an idiot. ruin a brand new engine for the sake of advertising
Its a nice car the price is alittle over budgit for most but quit bitchen he says its a very very good car because it is so haters get lost i mean y do u look up this shit just so u can dislike it
@MrBadfish2 Except it's a pile of garbage. SRT4s are cheap and just because they're fast doesn't mean they're nice cars. Would have a brand new Juke or VW Golf which is even slower over a piece of crap Dodge, and believe me, I don't even like Nissan. I can't stand that they put CVTs in every single car now. Who wants a Maxima that's supposed to be a "Sporty Sedan" when it has a CVT transmission!?
This car is ugly as hell... and very slow. Rather buy a Used Caliber SRT-4 for around 16k with 280HP 13 second 1/4 mile 160 mph top speed and 30+ mpg and a 5 star crash rating.

Good looking car probably purchasing one in the next 4 months
Looks like a cool car! When I finish paying off my mustang GT I will consider buying one.

@datpimpinboy You can select sport mode, which changes gears like a 'normal' automatic. This means it must use preset cvt positions.

I really like the exterior styling. I'm very interested:)
I kind of like it... it's similar to Integra when it first came out.
just so awesome car i like it very much
I had a test drive in one last week, it had spare tire, NO HIDDEN STORAGE! Maybe it's an option with run flat tires, or maybe just in Japan?
@mikebarneynissan Thank you sir. Your reply is much appreciated.

Also, they could of included a roof rack system too!

I'm 16 and get my license soon I want this car but idk how it drives or the price
@crowel57 It's the CVT engine. We have one now in our Dodge Caliber and really don't like it (replaced our V8 SUV). Like driving a toy.
@NissanDriver15 i think its great!
Everyone says this car is ugly, I think it's sexy.
Backup camera?
yea i counted, you got to 60 mph in 8 seconds, for those who are wondering.
There is NO extra room in the back compartment, just the spare tire; unlike what they show you in the brochure! WTD???
There is like 6 inches of leg room in the back of that thing.
hahahaha i love how he says "Im 5'8 and my head wasn't touching.
i will buy this only if you give me the sv version in black for 19500 final amount
Hey Hey with the comments about Jukes looks. You'll hurt his feeling (Juke's)
Looks like a good car but 27000€ for 1.6l That's fucking insane!
Everything looks good except the space for people on the back seat.

When you did your 0-60 test...you were NOT wearing your seatbelt. Nice car though lol.
You weren't wearing your seatbelt. Tisk, tisk.
That center consol is gross.
