Chan (the leader) had a hard time translating the Korean ver to English bc he didn’t want to take away the meaning behind the lyrics and then matching the words to the beats. It all worked out in the end tho :) You should check out Levanter! Also yes you guys are correct! Stray Kids don’t really use cgi much in their videos. I know Miroh used cgi for the tall building effect but their music videos are normally and generally on a real set. Like God’s Menu for example, all of that was real. Lol racetrack, kitchen, construction site, etc.
That's the good thing about Stray kids, they have 4 songs entirely in English (that I know off) which is much more comparing to other K-pop groups, that's probably one of the main reasons why Stray Kids for a while were more popular outside of Korea , (in Japanese quite commun in K-pop). That's why I love Stray kids so much, they think about all their fans , all Stays all around the world and that since their debuts.
The actual location is Injeongjeon Hall (Yongin Daejanggeum Park) it's a recreation of early Korea time period set. Also found it awesome that you didn't notice any flaw in this even though the lost a member due to personal reasons.
When Chan was translating the song he mentioned that he was worried some translations became a little too literal, but it was hard as it is to translate making sure the flow stays the same, and some rap parts are hella fast. So just as a language nerd I wanted to say that he's done impressive work. I see what he means, I think Hyunjin's part is a bit clumsy in English, BUT the sound of eng and kor is just so different, it's impressive everything works as well as it does. And keeps the meaning, the flow, a lot lof imagery. 👏
