Iron Gwazi on ride POV | 4K | Busch Gardens, Tampa

This video contains 4K front row footage of the absolutely incredible Iron Gwazi, an extreme hybrid coaster, found at Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Iron Gwazi uses the structure of Gwazi, an old GCI duelling wooden coaster that opened at the park back in 1999. Gwazi's 'Tiger' track closed in 2012 followed by 'Lion' which closed in 2015 due to rising maintenance costs. The structure sat SBNO for some time while the park went through a number of replacement options.
The decision was made to refurbish the structure sometime in 2018 where it was then modified by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) into Iron Gwazi. Due to delays caused by the pandemic however, the ride would not reopen until 2022.
It stands at 206ft tall with a 91º first drop and features 2 inversions including an outstanding downwards barrel roll which for me, is the highlight of the ride, especially on the back row. It maxes out at 76mph, contains some great airtime moments and keeps up an amazing pace throughout the layout.
