Wow, you were not kidding one bit. He wanted to get that airplane on the ground and now. I don't know if you noticed or not but there were some birds perched up on the fence when he was coming around the corner there they were watching the DC9 along with you. Haha.
They did one hell of a job because not even 5min after parking & shutting down their engines, the storm blew in with all that wind & hail! And yes, I did notice those birds. Whenever lightning struck the ground near the airport, the thunder spooked them and they would all fly off the fence and right in front of me haha.
