Btss songs arent awkward cause bts are real musicians , they don’t have concepts for aesthetics and visuals like kpop, they have meaningful stories to tell on their albums, that’s one of the reasons why the became not just the most popular kpop group but the biggest boyband in the world, the youngest most awarded artist in the world, you really need to learn their story, I would recommend guide to bts by Taylor Marie for the start to know a little more about them , you will appreciate them more

BTS is currently on hiatus since 2022 bc they are serving in the military but jin (oldest memebr who went first) is coming back in 5 days so it's officially the time where they are starting to come back, and since bts's discography is soooo huge anyways you'll always have content of them to seek before they do their awaited comeback.

YES!! that is Park Jimin Before he was studying contemporary dance style and he became the top student of his modern dance department and He was learning hip-hop at the age of 15 He also trained kendo and taekwondo for 8 years so he mixed all that in his danceing style and he has a really charming charisma and a big stage presence SO attention comes easily to jimin that's what we call the jimin effect ✨✨✨
Icarus is from greek mytgology. He built some wings to escape and was warned not to go too close to the sun, but he didn't listen and because he flies so hight the wings melt and he falls. It's kind of a story about excessive ambition, but it is very complex, I tried to make it very very short.
BTS's lyrics are a very important part of their appeal, they often refference books, psychology, they touch a lot of hard subjects too like mental health. So a lot of people will comment about that in the future, just keep in mind 🙂

BTS are really the legends of K-pop and I’m glad you enjoyed their music. Even if I stan multiple groups right now, BTS will always have a special place in my heart since they were the ones that got me into K-pop.
My manager was like that with me last week (thinking i should be embarrassed for liking kpop, though i only like BTS) for she was shocked when i defended my love for them.
Also Boy with Luv is a mixed English and Korean song many of their songs have a mix, also the arrangement of the song is perfect.

OMG don't get me started on how annoying it is that song are so short but BTS make song because they love making songs, they're (or atleast RM) has made it know he doesn't like the idea of conforming to shortening the songs just for popularity.

If you liked blue hair guy's dancing in Black Swan here’s a little info abt him he is Park Jimin (1995) one of the best dancers in kpop. He studied contemporary dance at Busan High School and was a top student in the modern dance department. The influence that the years of his training in modern dance is evident even when he dances the choreos of other dance styles. No other male dancer in kpop can perform the moves he does in Black Swan and his solo Lie. You should check out "Lie" but there’s no proper full length MV so I recommend checking out the lyric video first any then this dance video it’s mesmerizing

BTS do all genres of music, not just pop. They started as a hip-hop group, so their roots are hip-hop. No two songs sound the same with BTS, which is why i love them. I recommend watching live performance they are best live. Run BTS live in Busan, Outro Tear live with English subtitles, hip-hop phile live. Jimin is the best dancer in kpop. He actually has a black belt in taekwondo when you mention martial arts.
Karate move in Black Swan is performed by Jimin who has a black belt in taekwondo. He's also studied Kendo and contemporary dance.

If you continue to react you will realize that there is no such thing as "sounds like K-pop" if it's BTS, in some ways BTS pioneered what most K-pop groups are doing now

Black Swan MV is what shoved me down the rabbit hole. Beyond that, it’s a beautifully crafted song as you noticed. Amazing and deep lyrics, the beat and interesting instrumentation, and just perfectly produced. The placement isn’t awkward because they’re truly students of hip hop and instinctually work with the beat.
Jimin is a stunning dancer and one of the two main dancers. I truly believe BTS has two of the best dancers in K-pop. I prefer Jimin’s style (he’s my bias), but that in no way detracts from jhope’s talent, which I respect. I don’t get people trying to argue one is better than the other. They’re both astoundingly talented with very different styles, which makes it impossible to compare.

I enjoyed your reaction. Jimin is one of 4 in the dance-line of BTS and one of the 2 main dancers - the other is J Hope. Jimin is trained in contempory dance as well as other styles.

BTS is not really Kpop any more. They have transcended. Listen more carefully- Boy With Luv is not an English song. There is some English but over half of it is Korean.
I'm just going to answer questions as I hear them:
1. Boy with Love: Halsey has a verse in the Spotify version, but since she's not going to be around for most of their performances, she's not in the "official" version. She shows up for their Billboard award performance, though.
2. DNA: did you notice that they're all wearing the numbered jerseys of famous basketball players?--usually their college numbers.
3. Black Swan: Has anyone mentioned the Martha Graham quote yet? Famous American contemporary dancer, said that dancers die two deaths, and the first, when they have to give up dancing, is the most painful.
4. Black Swan is part of their Map of the Soul album, which taps heavily into the psychological theories of Carl Jung. You have to accept the Shadow within yourself (the dark parts you repress) before you can become a fully actualized person. Remember that the theater in Boy With Luv had "Persona" as a name? Persona, Ego, and Shadow are the parts that need to get integrated. The shadows start out huge and out of control in Black Swan, but have shrunk by the end as they come to terms with their fears.
5, There's a gorgeous version of Dynamite done live at the 2020 MMA awards where they do a Michael Jackson tribute dance break.
6. You reacted very positively to Jimin in all of these videos-i think we're detecting a bias.

The majority of my favourite BTS tracks are not actually their main single releases but their b sides, although Black Swan and N.O. (from the old days!) are standouts for me. I have honestly never known an artist ever with such a strong discography. They literally make no skip albums.
