This is the single of the year to me. The melody, the feeling, the uniqueness, lyrics and this disco+rock+electronica. It always makes me dance in the gym. I am extremely happy because the song hasn't been shortened to the standard 3-4 minutes and it almost sounds like a remix of its own. It has some incredible positivity in the guitar riff. The intro, the piano, OMG, and the building of the ambience with adding lots of layers of electronica versus the very charismatic voice of Alex Kapranos, makes you feel like a real cool dude! Ow , yes, aren't we always ascending?
Yes, I have heard of his band before, but I never really got into the music, until I heard and saw the video for 'Summer Wine' and then started looking... now... I am MESMERIZED!!! If you haven't seen it please see the 'official video' for "Summer Wine" and also any concert footage as well... oh yes, indeed the 'very charismatic voice of Alex Kapranos' and his presence!!

Saw them this month in Portland, they did 5 songs off the new album! They were all awesome! I think fans will love Lazy Boy.

I have only heard their older songs from the No You Girls era. I had No Clue!
I hadn't thought about of the length of time in between then & now, their older, the slight but impactful changes to their music (which was fantastic then, & has stood the test of time) to this mature ripening as a band, as musicians and being confident enough in yourselves & your audience, to perform this highly visual production in s track suit, it's fantastic! This whole video exudes confidence not only as a band, but as a unit.
It's bold to experiment so heavily on the visual production side, but it's such a high end production team and you are clearly a great fit. You evolved together. No makeover. It's just marvelous.
And you didn't stop loving what you do. This isn't phoned in. There is still that energy that attracted your audience to begin with. Great musicians.
But, whoever your manager is, he's brilliant. Whoever is in charge of these videos is brilliant.
Choreography, casting, costumes, lighting and sets, they are all brilliant.
Having only seen two videos, many years apart, it's wonderful to see where you are (at this point) in your life. For me it was a Serious fast forward & I can't wait to see the next one!

V B it took 3 people to replace Alan Wilder in Depeche Mode technically although it has never been as good
I mean that's not the reason why there's a keys/synth player. They just wanted to upgrade their sound a bit more and got someone. However, the new guitarist, yes that was Nick's replacement.
And frankly they're kind of lousy replacements. I saw them live a few days ago, and they played all their older songs completely different. They added keyboard to EVERY single song and the guitar wasn't even half as heavy, I mean I love them -- but if you're planning on seeing them live don't expect it to be a fun dance rock concert like before.
I was wondering how that's gonna turn out when I see them in April :/
