Hi Gina! I made this salad the other day, and it was great! I wanted to share a hint from an Italian cook I used to watch many years ago. To remove bitterness from a cucumber, slice the end off as you usually do, then rub the two cut ends together for a few seconds. I don’t know how or why it works, but I haven’t had a bitter cuke in over 50 years! Let’s hear it for old wives everywhere ..lol!
I usually add red onion and cheese to mine. My daughter will be doing virtual school which is what she has been doing the past several years anyways. I enjoy your videos Gina. Keep them coming 💜

Hi Gina! Thanks for this particular pasta salad recipe! There’s enough there for 100! A little note: cucumber skin is very difficult to digest. Whenever I need to peel my cucumbers, I use a straight potato peeler, which makes it a fast peel. I will also de-seed any cucumber who’s seeds are large...they can eventually water-down your salad. Thanks again!

There are so many versions of pasta salad I also use cucumbers and black olives no tomatoes I’m allergic but lots of pepperoni and mozzarella cheese sticks chopped and those don’t melt they stay firm , I like the package of ranch dressing idea gonna try it blessings 👍😋🙏🦋🌈🌸
Pasta salad is my specialty!! Y’all need to try mine! I use Olive Garden dressing but mix some pesto (from the jar) into the dressing to give it more flavor. I use cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and green peppers (all from my garden), red onion, banana peppers, kalamata olives, cubed pepperoni and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. It is seriously the best pasta salad, EVER!! 😋😋

What is so good about any recipe is you can put into or take out ingredients to make it different. There are so many variations with this. And I do love the colored pastas. I so much love these for crab salad, seafood salad. The color is a huge pop to those dishes as well. We still do cheese. I just have it on the side as a topper. The longer this can set in the frig, the flavors just marry and are that much more wonderful. We always homeschooled. My heart goes out to all the parents who are just thrown into homeschooling without preparation. It has always been our choice to homeschool but I wouldn't want that choice decided for me.

There's videos on every style of homeschooling you could think of. Just don't get lost in them all. Because, I can tell you, I sure did just that and was overwhelmed in just little bit. Keep it as uncomplicated as possible. Don't jump into methods that you aren't familiar with when you're just starting out. There's time to add those once you and your children adjust to your new routine. I've homeschooled for a total of 10 years and it's not for the faint of heart, it's hard. However, I never regret one single minute of it.

This is a great recipe. And finally with no cheese. I love cheese, but like you said it gets so mushy like. I do so enjoy all of your videos. Gina, Gina, Gina..I want that pan for my pasta😍! I love that you use the tri-color pasta..I do too! I use cherry tomatoes sliced and bell peppers sliced small. I use mozzarella cheese in my pasta salad using that dressing, but just add it on top as I serve it.😁 Just cheating folks... A variation I use is tri-colored pasta, bell peppers, (colored) chopped a little smaller, cherry tomatoes cut in half, hard salami or candian bacon if you prefer (or you can go veggie, no meat), I add rinsed dark red kidney beans or black beans sometimes, sliced black olives, sliced egg whites, I use Greek Dressing usually instead of the Robust Itialian Dressing, but I love that one as well. I use Himilayian Pink Salt, a little Garlic Powder and some black pepper. Like you I have an extra bottle of dressing to add as you serve. This salad is best served very cold and the longer it sits, the better the flavors meld. I usually stick the pasta in the freezer a few minutes to cool down after draining it and adding some dressing to keep it ftom sticking before adding any ingredients. The flavors seem to layer in that way because the pasta absorbs some of the dressing early. I add some fresh mozzarella, parmesan or extra sharp cheddar to the top just before serving if a guest wants it. I'm going to try your recipe--especially adding the dry ranch or Italian dressing to the pasta salad before adding the final liquid dressing. Sounds like a delightful punch of flavor! I love, love your kitchen Gina! Your recipes are out of this world! Call me a devoted fangirl😍🤩🤩
