Seems to be holding up...granted an a340 behind a torquier 2JZ would be extra stress, a conservative tune to ensure torque levels aren't too high is easy enough for longevity reasons.
Lol. Maybe not love it, but in a majority of cases they're a very strong box compared to most, and when they've been looked after they can handle quite a lot of extra power.

But I already have a 550rwhp 6 Speed manual Toyota Soarer, so I figured buying another JZ-powered car would be bad for me because I couldn't resist the temptation to modify it. Big, luxury car. The Volvo goes mate and it's got a manual mode.
This Toyota is fantastic for a big luxury car it would go like the clappers and was cheaper. I would of paid around mid $90s to just under $100k in 2002 if I remember right , it wasn't over the $100k I remember that lol, but that was with basically every option in it.
Lol this thing and the Volvo can lose your licence very fast.
The speed you can do in these kind of car's and not even realise it is amazing.
You really need to pay attention to the Speedo.
On open road's you can relax and look down and you are over 140kmph without even trying. Cruise control is super useful 🤫😁👍💗 lol talking about gearing the Volvo won't change into 4th gear until you hit about 203kmph if you are flat flooring it. 😁 Not that I would ever do that haha.

I think it's 0 to 100 is in low 7 second's so it's not a rocket ship but its fast, enough and will pull 270kmp top speed.
They do have issues though. The gearbox is known for failing (if you don't look after them, sometimes even if you do lol. In 2004 they fixed that)
The steering is very soft/easy but I don't really find it bad. But in saying that maybe I have gotten used to it. It's soft.
I have seen a few American videos of them that are ok, but still don't have the options I got in mine. There is an executive spec you can get, but not in Australia 😭 it has tv and fridge and no middle rear seat and blinds on the door windows as well. Mine has the rear window blind but not the ones in the door's.

I wish these cars didn't straight up suck, they sound good on paper but idk, a mate owned one, a pretty mint one but they just feel very blanned and lack some sort of soul to me...

You may as well get an Aurion, as they're almost as quick

Two entirely different cars with two different purposes. The Aristo is literally a Supra sedan. The Aurion is a family sedan. Even comparing stock examples the Aristo will beat the Aurion in power, handling dynamics, build quality and comfort.

@@ozwasp All relatively minor costs for owning an appreciating JDM legend. Most Aristo owners will not be driving theirs daily anyhow. I can certainly appreciate your perspective. However, honestly, who buys an Aristo to keep it 100% stock and drive it to work and back? That is what the Aurion is for. Potential is where the Aristo exceeds by a huge margin.

60k us nope... haven't seen one go higher than 27k and that's the most I've seen as an asking price...and it was manual swapped.
