Can we as technicians submit our tests to aid other techs?

So I’ve seen in Fords enhanced diagnostics there’s a PID for cam/crank sync .. I was under the impression this would tell me if there was a cam/crank correlation issue but was told by someone no it’s only a PID that tells you if the ECM is seeing a signal from them .. any information on this ?
