I usually do randomized draft races, where i pick an appropriate amount of units i can use, and then let RNG decide who i'm allowed to use. So as an example: I'm doing a run of Engage right now on Maddening, where i allow myself Alear as a free unit for every team, but their class must be randomized, with me drawing Wolf Knight for this run. I get a total of 14 units (13+Alear), as that's the max i can deploy on the final mission, and any character not allowed on my team must immediatly be unequipped and killed off. They must discard all items they have, as i'm not allowed to benefit from a unit dying by getting their stuff. Once my team is set, i then also randomize what Emblem they can use, and if that Emblem is available, they MUST use it. I'm also not allowed to reclass units, and any unpromoted units must get a promoted class that closest resembles their base class, so for someone like Lapis who only uses swords when recruited, she MUST become a Swordmaster. As for inhereting skills, a character can ONLY get skills from the Emblem they must use. So if you get Leif, you can really only get Knife Precision and Build as stacking skils. It's a fun and unique way of playing, similar to doing a Wonderlocke in Pokemon games with wondertrading available. It's much more simple in early titles, but you might need to just bench characters if they are needed for recruiting or to get to true/good ending...
You got Marcus, Rutger, and Percival. The only thing that could possibly have been better is if you'd also gotten Milady. Which you did! :D Couldn't have gotten better units if ya tried! Sis clearly knows what's up.
i had such high hopes, and then it was just send straight into the ground. At least my current Ironman Between all 3 GBA ones is going good, roy is in fact still alive

I'm waiting for the randomizer to actually randomize character instead of classes then I'm planning on doing something similar
