    I am strongly considering this product. What would sell me in a heartbeat is if this had a rack mount I/O to go along with the desktop controller. It’s just a hassle having a lot of cords on your desk

    Ei Audient, how do i connect a subwoofer to the audient Nero i just bought? Just plug a Mono Jack from the SUB out on the back to the L in on the Sub? because on my Focal Sub One there is two conectors, Left and Right. Thank you if you can answer. I cant find anything about this metter on the web. How actually connect a Sub to the Audient Nero.

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  2 года назад

      If your Sub has a stereo input then we would recommend just plugging a single TRS jack from the SUB output to the LEFT input of the SUB. You'd then just need to trim the sub slightly louder to make up for the missing channel.

    It's a shame the sub cuts out when you engage the mono button. Makes it difficult to check phase on a 2.1 system where the 2 satellite speakers are quite small. Don't really understand why the sub has to cut out when in mono, as the sub is already a mono output, surely?

    You guys should make a single knob controller like a Mackie Big Knob. With your precision matched attenuation technology it would be a much better product. I need a volume knob to lower the output volume of my RND Portico MBP because I can't drive the transformers without clipping the ADC on my interface.

    The external talkback mic input and associated routing is excellent. However I'm not seeing a remote TB engage, nor a footswitch option. So if a producer is in a different space, they can have a mic to talk to the artist but have no means by which to engage TB. That's the one thing holding me back from purchasing this for a studio I use.

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, remote talkback activation isn't an option on the Nero.

    Can I adjust the frequency fed to the monitors when the sub is engaged?
    Like a 90hz crossover? and then when it isn't engaged it returns the full signal to the other monitors?

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  4 года назад +2

      There is no built in crossover on the Nero, any crossover controls will need to be done on the Sub itself or with an outboard crossover device.

    • @Audientworld

      Yes, you can just use the left input of the sub. If there is a volume discrepancy because of this, you can trim the sub up slightly to make up for this.

    I was about to order this one, but then I saw that it isn't possible to have more than one source active at a time, which made it a no-go for my needs. :( Please make this (optionally) possible in a V2 if you ever make one. I want the coax (Windows system audio such as Spotify/RUclips/WinAmp) always on and then switch between cue/src1/src2 (various monitor mixes from the DAW)

    Is the main headphone amp powerful enough to use and mix with 300ohm Sennheiser HD600 headphones? Or what is the recommended ohms for main headphone out?
    Thanks!

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  2 года назад

      The Nero will drive up to 600 Ohm headphones, the actual volume you get will depend on the sensitivity of the headphone drivers themselves, however. You shouldn't have any issues driving a pair of HD600's with the Nero for most monitoring purposes.

  • @iammusicp

    i see you also used the analog input for your audio interface. Isn't the quality the best via SPDIF?

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  5 лет назад +1

      There's very little difference between the audio quality of the two types of Input. The iD44 we used has great sounding DAC's and using balanced cables means that any noise picked up from the cable is cancelled out. Similarly, the DAC used on Nero is great sounding as well so a digital input will sound just fine.
      The Volume control on Nero is all done in the analog domain (albeit with digital control) so you don't need to worry about your analog inputs going through multiple AD/DA stages.
      If you're unsure of the quality of the DAC/Interface you are using before Nero then the S/PDIF inout may give you slightly better quality audio but in most applications, the differences will be negligible. We simply included these inputs to give plenty of flexibility.

    • @Audientworld
      @Audientworld  4 года назад

      It isn'y possible to have two inputs playing through two monitor outputs at the same time. You could set it up so that one source is playing back through a monitor output and the other source is playing back through a Headphone output. The headphone output can then be split to feed a pair of monitors.
