In hundreds of hours watching and buying Just Planes videos, this team, with Bethania as Captain is one of the most inspiring I’ve been privileged to watch. Her pinnacle of awesome piloting of the E190 is her arrival into Rio--a curved approach over the harbour passing some awesome elevated scenery. That video does so well capturing the aircraft manoeuvre and Betania’s manual flight command with her continuous monitoring of situational awareness related to the terrain and runway environment… God speed Bethania, you are a Gem of a pilot :-)
As a male pilot, former airline, I'm so happy that worldwide women pilots and all women crews are so accepted. Still a horribly low percentage but it's growing!
Just planes, I´m from Porto Alegre, SBPA Salgado Filho int´l airport city, and from time to time i see that 190 Landing in there from my room window, so glad to know that she is commanded by 2 beuties, and so glad to watch this at Just Planes!! Cheers my dear friend! Cheers from BRASIL!!!
@JustPlanes, the aircraft remains in pink colorus all year long and sometimes some crew members wear pink uniform on special days. Azul Airlines also have a bus, painted in pink supporting breast cancer awareness as well. Great video! Greetings from Viracopos/Brazil!!!
I'm always like c'mon land! When the ground warning system says 50,40,30,20 please land!!! 10 (and the sound of touchdown) yay!!!! Because just planes mostly don't show the landing which is definitely my best part of flying.
+ JustPlanes i don't understand in which way you can stay in the cabin and speak with the crew before the flight and stay with they during all the flight! i'm envious but i love your channel and your film, good job
How much Busier do some of these airlines get since its just about time for the Olympics????? Seeing their uniforms, meaning the color of them reminds me of that one Airliner movie, where I think they wore the same color uniforms, think it was called SOUL PLANE, am I right??????
Must be a Visual Approach landing (auto pilot is turned off). See what I'm learning from watching JustPlanes videos; I'm not a Pilot, what I'm learning from these videos is just enough to be dangerous behind the airplane controls. Good job, Ladies !!!
I think the issue is that if you start to identify people because they're different, it's only going to make these differences bigger. I think if we want the profession to be equally open to males and females they need to be treated in the same way. Furthermore, I think calling a professional by their first name takes away from some of the professionalism that they command. Maybe next time call the title "Captain (surname) lands at airport". Or try calling a video with a male pilot "Mark lands an A330 at airport". I feel that these won't have the same effect that you are looking for...
When you have a dozen ladies and you call them by Name people get to know them... when you have 1000 guys pilot and you call them John and Fred no one would have a clue who is who.... also, as you hear at the start of the video, 90% of the pilots introduce themselves by their First Name, it makes for a nice and friendly environment which is what our Cockpit Films are all about...
I had just watched the same image of Captain Bethania flying a landing approach to Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont Airport in a JustPlanes video of march 20th 2014. The time in the video where you can watch Captain Bethania, flying the landing approach, is this: ruclips.net/video/x-4_takCE0w/видео.htmlm13s
Sorry I don't know much about Embraer air planes but looks like she was giving throttle wile the auto throttle is on then when she lands try to disable auto throttle clicking the side buttons and apply the reverse but this fail then she moves her hand on top of the throttle clicks again then throttle up and down to engage the reverse. Is this is a normal procedure??
Don't understand what this woman did that was stunning OR spectacular...not anything dozens of pilots don't do on a daily basis. Anyway, it's beginning to look more and more like these new jets almost land by themselves, with the pilots being computer operators.
From this video you can come to that conclusion?? Oh do tell, "Master of the Skies", what, in this video, presents itself as evidence for you to make that determination?
That smile in the end is priceless. Love BraSil
I've already flew with Capt. Bethania. Great pilot! Azul is the best Air Company from Brazil. Nice vídeo, JP!

A visual approach?
Muito interessante esta dupla feminina pilotando um avião da Embraer com este uniforme vistoso.
Capt. Bethania is hot and also a good pilot.
Azul and Jetblue same company?
Yes David Neeleman company
+ JustPlanes i don't understand in which way you can stay in the cabin and speak with the crew before the flight and stay with they during all the flight! i'm envious but i love your channel and your film, good job
Thank you very much. Glad u enjoy our work 😜👍

Azul in a language spoken in some parts of North Africa, means HELLO
no, azul is blue in portuguese. this company in Brazil, owner David, same owner Blue Airlines
Nice!!!
voei com ela de ocnfins a porto seguro otima piloto e linda hahahaha
Nice landing ladies. Wish there were more female pilots.
A unique aircraft. The Ejets aren't as popular as the 737s and A320s
Lovely
Shocked it's not Maria's approach into Rio
Gotta admire :)
Bethania when you are in Fort Lauderdale in vacation village hopefully I will take you again to sawgrass mall ..lift ...
Cool. I wanna be a pilot!
I thought the pilot at 0:07 was Bethe Correia for a second lol
How much Busier do some of these airlines get since its just about time for the Olympics????? Seeing their uniforms, meaning the color of them reminds me of that one Airliner movie, where I think they wore the same color uniforms, think it was called SOUL PLANE, am I right??????
Pretty cool but I wish we didn't have to have that stuff at the end block the landing.
Must be a Visual Approach landing (auto pilot is turned off). See what I'm learning from watching JustPlanes videos; I'm not a Pilot, what I'm learning from these videos is just enough to be dangerous behind the airplane controls. Good job, Ladies !!!
doesn't get much more Brazilian than that....
I love your videos but can I ask why you generally put female pilots names in video titles but don't do the same for males?
We film 1 female for 100 male pilots so we choose to put their Name ;)
Exact

You rule guuuurrrlllzzzz!👍👍👍👍 Bethania, quer casar comigo?!;-)

so adorable yes i said adorable LOL
and they say women cant fly
Don't understand what this woman did that was stunning OR spectacular...not anything dozens of pilots don't do on a daily basis. Anyway, it's beginning to look more and more like these new jets almost land by themselves, with the pilots being computer operators.
The approach and the views are stunning
looks like most of the approach was hand flown, something men can't do.
A woman co-pilot I could live with, but two women at the controls... That scares the shit out of me, no thanks.
Can you fly better than they can?
yournameistosspot
Yes, I can in fact fly better, just watching this video let's me know a blind person could fly better than these two.
Serban, all the flavors to choose from and you choose salt? Why so angry, does the truth hurt that bad?
From this video you can come to that conclusion?? Oh do tell, "Master of the Skies", what, in this video, presents itself as evidence for you to make that determination?
