Just hearing the phrase mushroom picking makes my blood boil. The mushrooms in the early hours of the morning are fresh out of the soil, tender and tasty. I’ve been looking forward to this mouthful of fresh sweetness all year. The satisfaction of this basket containing 107 boletes can be recalled for a whole year. In Yunnan, the way to tell if two people are close to each other is whether she is willing to take you to her places where mushrooms can be found. All the places I know can be seen from the video.

I love Fufu so much. He's such a well cared for dog, but any time someone looks away for a split second he suddenly looks like he's lived in the streets for ages. Such a beautiful messy boy, some dogs just attract mess hahaha. It's lovely to see him having so much fun with you in the mountains.

I can only describe this video as inspiring. Penjie, you had prepared a variery of dish out of different mushroom species. Am so amazed with how you diatinguish the edible ones (though, at the end of you vlog, you almost swallowed a poisonous mushroom. Pleas be careful). I admire your passion for mashrooms, as it shows by waking up ay 4 am just to pick mushrooms from the mountains. And you're not getting tireef of the preparations in cooking. You are so patient and industrious in everything. But tge reward is so priceless, a smile on the face of your loved ones.

I lived in Yunnan off and on for a decade, left in winter 2019 to celebrate Christmas with my Swedish family and then wasn't able to go back because of the pandemic. I miss life there so much! I was mostly in the countryside in the south with ethnic minorities like Wa, Lahu, Akha and Hani. I am a certified nature guide and plan to arrange trips back there eventually, to help people get to experience this kind of life and connect with locals and eat the fantastic food from local produce and wild plants. Yunnan mushroom hot pot is one of the tastiest things I ever ate! In this video she's picking some mushrooms, the yellow mushrooms looking like coral, that I have been wanting to eat again ever since I ate them with my brother and a monk while hiking to the temple on top of Jizu Shan, Chicken Foot Mountain, in 2012. I still remember the taste of that fried mushroom, it was so yummy!

I have been mushroom hunting at night a few times some can be found during the early morning. an others can be found at night both meals came out great 👍 I had the tofu chicken 🍄 soup but not with bamboo shoots I do enjoy it with ginger in the mixture 😀✌️❤️
