  • Take a peek inside the Brown Family gym -- our temple of swole, our pain cave...
My wife and I built this as a labor of love shortly after moving into this house, and designed it to support most, if not all of the strength & conditioning exercises we love to do.

Nice spot. Yeah during that time it was actually better to buy new over used for the first time ever because used prices were new or higher.

Thanks! Yea there was a lot price gouging going on in the used market in mid-late 2020, for sure. Some stuff we did buy new from Rogue, and had to wait ~3 months for delivery due to demand & supply chain issues. Most of our plates, the Ironmasters, and my rower were found on Craiglist/Facebook and I paid way more than I should have in retrospect, but such is supply and demand...🤷🏻‍♂️

Great gym set up Justin and well thought out. Personally I luv the convenience of a home gym as compared to gym memberships. It will save both of you so much time and money in the long term and obviously its getting well used. High quality equipment that will last is the only way to go. May sound a silly question but what does the tree signify on the Stanford emblem?

The tree on the Stanford logo is a nod to "El Palo Alto", the tree in the city of Palo Alto's logo (the city where Stanford is located), which more generally is a nod to the coastal redwoods found along the northern California coast.

Thanks for the reply. Reason I asked is my luv an interest regarding trees.@@dadboddadvlog

Sorry about your Mom, homie. Death is a reminder to live our lives with purpose, because we all have an expiration date. Good thing about life is; you carry your Mom(and Dad) with you EVERYWHERE in your travels. Just look in the mirror for the proof... Much love, health and happiness to you and your family...

“Steel-like” is what I meant. To a degree, I guess I don't care what they’re actually made of, but instead prefer the steel/metal look and feel over colored bumpers.

You got ripped off. Doesn't cost near that much to make that deadlift platform. Kid is a hustler for sure.

Sure, of course I could have DIY’d it for less, but I was willing to pay for the convenience, and the kid did great work, so I was happy to support his hustle.
