Cows certainly seem excited when the sand beds are freshly fluffed up.
I am thinking that is one lucky group of dry cows. Something tells me in two months from now in Saskatchewan those girls will be more than happy to return to the barn.

How do the cows get to the milking parlor without stimulation or reinforcement🤔what motivates them? Before I used to give them dry food one or two pounds during the process and that was the reinforcement 😁. Now I see that they come in and that's it🤔They leave happy...

Jan I know dairy farming is a none stop job 365 but as retired dairyman I hope you take some time for your self as well as your sister's I know I did not do that myself and as I looked back it was a mistake on my part but my wife and I have survived and as we both look back we really wondered how we did it. You and your family seem to be a great and loving family and can only wish the best for you guys. Ps really love watching your video's

Why do you take the calves away from the mother.
So that they can know how much milk they take and secondly, they are weak and can be rolled on by the big cows
