It could be a mew thing instead and leads up to mewtwo? Or if it was a legends game, maybe it would be not too far away from the present but goes into the lore into how mewtwo came into being further
I think it's definitely a possibility. I would want it to be a slightly different set up I think. Like imagine if we got the backstory to Giovanni or maybe we create the modern team rocket as a villainous group 🤔
Tbf this would make more sense if they continue the series using the mythical as the cover legendary. Mew has some good lore as well that fits into the canonical story after arceus created the world.
The only thing that makes me think it's a little bit more significant is that people now think it is more significant because it is a different way of advertising the presents logo. This can't be just for some small reveals of Mewtwo across the franchise...right? 🤔
An idea that just popped into my head that this will literally never be, but i think it's a funny idea. Don't think of this as an actual prediction... but Pokemon ARG? Its cryptic enough lol! Again, not an actual prediction but just a funny thought that popped into my head

In pokemon legends Arceus, you play as a member of team galactic. What if in a potential legends Mewtwo, you play as a member of team Rocket?
