    You guys have all these awesome kart gadgets in Australia! I have been looking for these and Easitune in the United States. But it looks like my only option is to ship them from AU. Anyway, love the video as always!! Thank you for them - they helped me out so much as a wanna-be-mechanic dad for my two kart racers.

    Hi. May be a daft question but I guess for taller drivers (6 footers) you would space the fast adjuster as back as far as possible then use the side plates for moving it forward by 10mm increments to minimise the weight on the rear tyres until the optimum is found?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 года назад

      you could do that for sure, especially if you are finding it hard to fit in the kart.

    I had my first crack at 4stroke enduro with the dual 250cc honda engines. Did very well and my mates are looking to buy one. But my mate is short. We are both under the weight limit so we were hoping to get an adjustable seat and peddles.

    • @redhaze8080
      @redhaze8080 3 года назад +1

      we would need a faster system for changing them in pit stops though. More like the sliding rails they run on hire karts

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 года назад

      this is maybe not the solution for you. the sod hire karts have a great system to adjust the seat, maybe look at there hire karts?

      Weight up the kart, and find a balance on seat position. I do Enduro's and my team mate is over 50cm taller then me (I'm average height, he is tall). I'm driving with flat legs resting on the tie rods, his are up near the steering wheel, it's a balance to find.

    Very cool product, really clever idea :) btw, what's the best weight ratio (weight distribution) on karting chassies? 60/40? 50/50? 53/47?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 года назад +1

      thanks Mat, I reckon its a winner 💯. 53/47 is the most popular. if you don't know any better for yo self, then start there and try forwards/backwards depending if it is oversteering or understeering

    looks like you will be punching a lot of holes in the side connectors?

    • @PowerRepublic
      @PowerRepublic  3 года назад

      with the steel plates, its no factor. but to start with only drill the hole required. then if you need to move the seat, drill the extra holes

    • @fastadjusters
      @fastadjusters 2 года назад

      Hi Twin Turbo, you make a very good point. As Power Republic touched on we have the stainless steel side plates to retain the strength and integrity the seat needs, without effecting the flexibility and handling of the go kart. The side plates were designed in accordance to the FIA karting and Karting Australia regulations so that they can be used in competition. We would love to design a system that would't require additional holes to be drilled in the side of the seat but this is not something that would pass the regulations. The main focus of the Fast Adjusters system was improve seat adjustment efficiency. In addition to this the side plates allowed the perfect substitute and guide for what would otherwise be inaccurate and slower adjustments. They also reduce the weakening of the seat from holes breaking through to each another.

    • @christianbuczko1481
      @christianbuczko1481 3 года назад +1

      @@davidmcdowell340 this fast change would only have 2 adjustable mounts for the sides, with no additional support unless you drilled for every change. You could find a good set up, then fix the extra supports to secure afterwards im sure if you need them.

    • @jordimarcon756

    Their quality control is lacking. At $338 USD I expected a little better than for a bag of nuts and bolts to show up at my door, it’s amazing they weren’t damaged in shipping. Additionally they shipped two of the same side fasteners instead of opposing fasteners. Do not recommend.

    • @fastadjusters
      @fastadjusters 2 года назад +3

      Hi wgd997, thank you for your email, we were happy to solve this issue for you straight away back in November 2021. For others reading comments, wgd997 made a very good observation, now there is in fact two of the same side V2.0 Fast Adjusters. This is an update we have made to the to replicate the original seat bolt spacing (side to side). It has been found to better suit seat fitment and does not make you space the lower seat bolts wider or narrower in comparison to original seat brackets. In addition to this we have reviewed and update our packaging to ensure a high standard presentation is achieved with the products arriving safely when dealing with rough shipping and handling that is beyond our control.
