Well, Sling 2 used to be a great option for a low wing when it was at around 160-180k. Now , with this price, what is the benefit of buying one when you can get a factory build Bristell equipped with the same avionics, same (or better 914 or 915 is) engine + much better finish and useful load for a similar price?
My understanding is that while LSA aircraft can be used in instrument flight training,it can't be flown in IMC conditions because of ASTM standards prohibit flight into IMC conditions. Their maybe ongoing conversations with the FAA on this. I don't know if kit built aircraft fall under this ASTM restriction.
You could fly this plane in IMC if you converted it to ELSA. Only downside is that you can't change back to certified LSA without factory support, which is unlikely. ELSA and other experimental aircraft are controlled by the operating limitations given with their airworthiness certification, not ASTM standards.
The problem is the FAA rules for aircraft built to ASTM standards. The ASTM Standards aren't FAA or US standards, ASTM aircraft have to follow ASTM standards. Is IFR the same as IMC? Airspace abo e 10,000 ft for instance is automatically IFR, but IMC. depends on the weather. You might want to check with the FAA on this, if this effects you.
Nice Airplane. But for this price? 215K? What was the price new? A lot of bugs for this LSA. I guess, you can get awesome LSA brand new for this money. To compare it fairly.
Hi my name is Melvin Giles. I'm also a RUclips content creator in Atlanta GA. I would love to get my sports polt license. Do you have a instructor in GA? I would love to collaborate with you.

$215,000 is what the website listing shows for those interested.
Oooooof way too much for my broke ass. I’m gonna stick with building a Sonex in a few years here lol
That's more than what it sold for new isn't it? And way more than a sling 2 (in Australia anyway).
Really nice looking aircraft Mike! I'll be honest, the Sling grows on me more and more. This white example is a really clean looking airframe!
My flight school in Pennsylvania has 3 lol, and I know of at least 4 other US flight schools that have a Sling NGT fleet ... come on man
Awesome plan. I wish I could jump on this right now! I’m waiting until I receive my ppl.
Wow 🤩 this a gorgeous aircraft! Great video!
Absolutely gorgeous airplane, the next owner will be lucky AF to get it!
That’s a great plane for sure! I expect it will sell soon!
Congrats on your enterprise
This Planes looks fresh maan.
It's so beautiful. Wish I could fly in that machine. ❤️
Great plane to fly getting my IFR in it now
I have about four years left on my used Prius payments … but with the rising cost of gas prices I am not sure I can swing this right now.
I thought with SLSA you can't actually enter IMC, though you CAN fly IFR flightplans?

You are right. My thoughts either. A Bristell is new cheaper and a great awesome airplane. Czech aircraft Quality.
Bristelle is bad ass and has a chute...go fly it in Sebring with mathew

A ppl can fly ifr into imc with this. Sport pilot can not

@@MrJimbok1 Last I checked IFR class A airspace starts at 18,000' not 10,000.
Saw a video of a Rotax with 250 hrs on it blowing up in Europe.
That's a beauty!
Very Nice Bro! Get Good Pilots!
Hey Mike! Off topic but what do you think of the Shark? Worth buying or not really?
So is the aircraft itself IFR certified or can you just get your IFR training from it?
I own and fly a Cessna 162 but I am considering this plane. Is she still available?
Which engine does this have? 912ULS or 912Is?
What about the 20 in Torrance?
Looking for a high wing LSA in the $50,000 range new. This is what was first promised by to LSA community. What Happened?
Yeah, 215k, c'mon!
Next!
Is that Hampton Roads Executive??
Love it!
That el Camino in the hanger for sale?

It’s still flies as new. You would have to wait up to a year to get a new one
But it's had 2 owners and is selling for more than it was new. Used Sling 2s in Australia are going for $150k AUD ($111k USD).
rather have the cub in the background
What’s the asking price?
$215k
how much did it sell for
What's the range and fuel hour?
What's the price?
So how much?
215k? U nuts?
Flex fuel that’s a great option
How much cost this plane?
Awesome 😎

I want one these planes so bad lol
What engine is in it?
Converted Corvair I think (6 cylinder) air cooled.
@@johnb4183 i dont think that is correct. the sling 2 typically has a Rotax 912UL, 912is or 914UL. In the opening of the video it says "Rotax"
Are these airframes certified for the fuel injected Rotax? Asking before I watch video so I don't forget. Ha Ha...
They are
Is the giant N number a requirement? If not, I can't imagine why someone would do it so freaking big.
the tail number is required that big and rightt here.
Speed determins size in USA so yes for USA they are large for this class however to fly to islands they require larger
I’ll make you a deal. I just bought a Powerball ticket. If I win, I’ll pay asking price 😇
Still available)
👍👍
NICE PLANE
I’ll buy that for a Dollar! Call me please.
Mike trades?
Owner wants cash only 😃
