Ambarnath Shiva Temple | ShivaRatri Darshan

The Ambarnath Shiva Temple is believed to have been built by the Pandava brothers in just one night. The partially built Shikhara over the sanctum opens up to the heavens as if deliberately left incomplete in honour of the Lord of the Skies, Ambarnath.
Another story: The Ambernath Shiv Temple was built during the 1060 AD in classical style by Chittaraja, King of Shi'erahala. Later on, the work was completed his son Mumunni. The temple is truly an out-of-this-world marvel, because it was built by carving a single large boulder. The architecture of this temple is Hemadpanti style.
