Great Book. I have much respect for Joey telling it all. The good, the bad, the ugly is all in it's pages. He is a Rock Legend, and an inspiration to me, and so many.

I grew up in Marshfield, the town where Steven and Joey lived. Joey was nice enough to come to the high school to speak about drugs and alcohol and the troubles they caused. That was 18 years (half the band's lifetime) ago. Those guys had cool cars -- Joey drove a Porsche 911, a GMC Typhoon,an Acura NSX,and his legendary Ferrari 348,which caught fire at a gas station in Scituate with Joey inside! Steven drove a maroon Mercedes wagon or a Lotus 7. Joe had a Wagoneer and Porsche. Brad - BMW

You go, Joey! I'm a huge fan, always have been, always will be. Aerosmith was the first concert I ever went to (at the "Fabulous Forum" in L.A. '77) and I've followed you guys through good times & bad over the years. I'm also in recovery and was so thrilled when you guys got sober too. I'm actually reading "Walk This Way" and enjoying it immensely. Looking forward to reading your book too. Keep on rockin' and living life to the fullest. I appreciate you sharing your life with all of us.

That is a great synapses of the book! I look forward to reading it! Anxiety/Depression is just too common place with people, and many don't know they have it or if they do, they don't admit it. Too often self-medicating goes on instead. ((HUGS)) and Thank you!! for sharing your story!!

I read the book and i can relate to much of your feelings and questions you have had Joey. Especially about how people who are supposed “close friends” are quick to dust you and let the bus run right over you. Life is full of back stabbing bastards and some all the while smile right at you! It’s rare to know solid individuals who really do put your best interest first. Some will say they do but when you turn your back the knife goes in. It’s worse than ever in the new “me” and “I” generation which started in the 80’s. It’s all about ME first and you SECOND. I wasn’t raised that way and now it’s guys like who are in the minority.

Mr Kramer is one the MOST CREATIVE rock drummers of all time. The grooves that he created were as interesting as John Bonham's in my opinion. Check out Joey's goose bump emitting snare drum work within his creative fills during the live performance of "Sweet Emotion" in Houston, Texas...1975. After watching this video over and over...I thought to myself:
"Shit... Joey's so good...and he doesn't get much recognition for making Aerosmith such a SOLID rock machine"...

One of the great memories of the 1970’s shows was during the solos when you threw drumsticks one by one into the audience - and the audience went nuts trying to get them.

Joey you seem like a very humble guy for being a rock star. Good for you. The fact that Aerosmith is still together and making great music after all these years is really amazing. Very few bands ever do that.

Good book. Now fans can wait for another band member to write a book that includes the fact that half of Toys In The Attic was NOT written by Aerosmith. Several key aspects were played by musicians that were hired by producer Jack Douglas. That trend started during the recording session of Get Your Wings.

In the battle of anxiety and depression you MUST balance your gut, digestion and intestinal flora. For those who understand nutrition, biology, etc. they already understand the importance of this, but for those who don't it may sound quite strange. There is a symbiotic relationship between the gut and the brain, as well as mental states of mind and mental acuity. Brain cells have actually been found in the gut and many experts believe the gut is actually a brain-like organ. You must get the diet in line so that the nutrition you ingest is suitably conducive to human biology, otherwise there's a maligning of the physiological function that causes acidosis, inflammation, etc within the body, brain etc. This alters brainwave activity causing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, panic, anger, tenseness, hyperactivity, ADHD, etc. Supplements you can begin taking to help heal leaky gut, IBS, Crohn's, Colitis, etc are: Glutamine, Zinc/Carnosine combo, Probiotics, Digestive Enzymes, Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice. Purge the gut by doing coffee enemas and even just drinking prune juice. Of course afford yourself time to be home in order to assure you're near the toilet for obvious reasons. Don't overdo the roughage like raw spinach as this has oxalates that can negatively affect those with leaky gut. Cooked spinach is okay. Purge, detox, heal, digest, assimilate, relax. Be patient as it takes time to undo years of damage. Could take months or more than a year, but it WILL heal what ails you. Eat REAL food from the produce aisle, not garbage that requires ingredient labels. Good luck.
