The Art of Japanese Cloth Dyeing (by Tourokuya)

A documentary on one of the many traditional Japanese cloth dyeing techniques.
The craftsman is Jiro Saida of Tourokuya (橙緑屋) from Hanno City, Saitama. He creates beautiful pieces of work using different combinations of colors and techniques.
He is skilled in various techniques such as Tegaki Yuzen (手描き友禅), a hand-drawn Yuzen stye dyeing technique, Suri Bokashi (摺りぼかし), and Hikizome (引き染め).
