I look up to these people because they understand how hard riding is and we're the only ones who get that its not just a "sit and do nothing" kind of sport. After a bad fall, its hard to get back on and I admire these people for getting on. :)
I know this video was uploaded ages ago, but this was entertaining. I loved the montage of the same jump that started at 1:22. The same jump and four different people! At least the first two stayed on :) And the one at 2:38? Yeesh. She got one hard whack in and you can see her raising her arm for another one. Hopefully she got a talking to :)
That poor girl that got stepped on. I hope she is OK! My horse is so sweet. He stops if my butt is out of the saddle, waits for me to fall, rubs me with his nose until I stand up, and then kisses me!!! Who knew I had such a sweet boy!!! Great video. =D
Love the music! Lot a happening in there! I wanna go there! xD Mean me, well lets make a funnyyy comment :D 0:56-1:03 Yeah jumping!! Hey why did you dismount? Why are you laying there? Get back on I wanna jumpppp!!!! 1:22-1:27 Good rider!! 2:11-2:24 Why should I go to my horse? I can watch --" He will get off.... 2:37-2:48 Is that reallyyy neccacary? 2:48-3:01 Yeah Im a race horse!!!! Oh my rider is gone! Well no more reason to race! xD 3:01-3:11 Yihaaaaaaaa racing time guys!!!!!
The last one reminds me of my horse and I. If I don't sit a cantar or jump right he bucks me off. Nice to see she didn't hold the reins either. It hurts but it's how they tell us we're doing something wrong. Mine is particularly my fault because my saddle is for a large man and I am a petite girl which makes sitting either things a little more difficult.
I agree with you so much Julia, horses are way to smart to say "my horse hates one corner of the arena so i dont ride him there" thats like saying "my horse enjoys bucking so i let him do it" they will learn that they can do whatever they please and get away with it. they need independent riders who they can trust! very well said
My love of my life and the best horse in the world, Skip use to stay right next to us every time anyone fell off of him (99.9 of the time the riders fault). I saw some of the horses do that, I have to say they are keepers. :)
1:32--That happened to me, except I landed right in front of my horse. I stood up and patted him on the neck, and told him I was sorry for yanking the reins.
@paintedchestnut And a natural reaction is to grip, rather than let go. Also, there are many places that teach students to hold on to the reins. Both ways have their pros and cons. If you let you, you're not pulling on the horse's mouth, but if you're doing cross country, the horse can get into some tough situations - even in show jumping and dressage. If you hang on, you can prevent them ending up somewhere dangerous, but you do pull. It depends on the person and the horse.
I love this video. I do a little bit of eventing but I mainy just do reining but Eventing is hard and you have to put a lot of hard work into it.... Bad days just make you better. :)
I love these videos! Do you guys do videos at River Glen in Tennessee? Its an amazing facility and I would love to get some videos of me riding this season!!
Most of these riders are wanting to run before they can walk. The horses look perfectly capable and trained well but most riders here are either very insecure in their positions/lower leg or pushing the horses at a too fast and flat canter at the jumps (notably the XC one where they all seemed to fall off!) Not saying I could do better; jumping isn't my forte at all and my horses aren't jumpers, but I wouldn't attempt jumps like these without knowing what I'm doing and no offence but these guys need more practice over small, easy courses before thinking they can do this. Accidents will happen unfortunately :(
@equestrian208 There were a few people that did make it over. The ones that did make it over struggled but they closed it after about the 7th horse and haven't used it as anything more than an option since.
@Rachel7861 The jump was closed after that fall and is being removed from the course. They have been using that jump for years and it has never created as many problems as it did that day. The horses that did have trouble on that jump all tried to jump over the bank instead of jumping up and down. Dont know why. Poplar is an extremely tough venue and they have an amazing curse designer. It was an unfortunate event but they did the right thing by closing it to prevent more falls and removed it.
@TheJumper64 I respectfully disagree. I feel that a crop is meant to be used as a 'forward' aid when the horse is not listening to your leg. Therefore, if you approach a jump and your horse is backing off of it (or one you know your horse will back off of - it was a liverpool jump) and the horse is not listening to your leg, it makes sense to use a stronger 'forward' aid, in which case the proper time to use a crop is coming into the jump.
@ 2:45 "Oh I KNOW, You did not just hit me with that whip!" LOL gorgeous horse either way! and at 2:53, ONE REIN STOP PEOPLE!!!!! IT SAVES LIVES *grumbles and feels the need to make a video*
@Fall0utAtTheDisco Yeah i do too. I plan to do Eventing next year but I just hate it when they get hurt over such dumb things. I know they could get hurt on a trailer or on a trail ride etc... but to see this over and over again just makes me hate it! I mean at that level they really need to start making these jumps fall apart and not make them too crazy. These horses are pets too, and i'd hope part of someone's family and life. I know mine is.
Sometimes you can't. Sometimes it happens so fast you just don't think. I agree you should, just stop hating because people sometimes have 1/2 a second to think and don't realize it.
I'm an eventer :) and I wasn't on the road haha I was on the grass when my horse spooked and galloped across the yard and onto the driveway I fell when she dropped her shoulder and turned fast to avoid running into a car and ya at the barn I used to board at they wouldn't let us gallop or ride on the road or do any games on the horses that's why it's nice to have my horses at my house :)
@kyonagirl1998 No she was trying to keep the horse going so it wouldn't refuse, but it did. I know it looks like shes being all 'keep going cuz im smacking you!' but she wasn't. If u ask me. I would have put on more pressure in the lower leg though before going for my crop, but I don't know what that horse is like. It may refuse a lot and the crop works best. :)
One time I came off real bad and i rolled over and yelled "You better on f***ing got that on tape or I'm gonna smash your guts in!?" it was so funny my friend broke down laughing for 10min+
@HaleyyKatt A horse already knows how to do the things that you think you train them to do. It is simply a matter of them responding to you. I do not ruin my horses, I understand them. I work with them, using their language, to overcome fear. I do not hit my horse out of anger, I do not yell. Yes, my horses were fine when I first got on, maybe a bit unsure, but not fearful. An animal of any species is not a toy for you to use, it is a living, breathing being. Learn to respect that.
i used to ride a horse that would need a cosntant use of the crop even though i hated it, the thing is that I couldn't ride him without it or he wouldn't do absolutly anything. But now I ride a horse that the only thing he need is a good balance and good use of the reins, i believe it depends much on the type of horse and not only on what the rider wants
Seriously to the people arguing and bitching about the jump at 2:40 - the horse was looking at the fence (most likely the liver pool) and losing impulsion/momentum - she was doing the right thing my encouraging the horse to move forward.
i have fallen off many times and most of them were like i was doing something and the next thing i know i am on the ground scrambling to get up( yeah i dont listen to the rule of stay down for a min to see if your okay) but i think i would know if i was hurt and everybody has bad days
Eventing and Cross-country tend to be the hardest. Eventing because it is over three days of hard work and horses get tired. CC because you are seeing how fast it takes a horse to run and jump abnormally shaped/sized jumps
i had gotten thrown off 3 weeks ago and my dad was telling this other person and said that we were lucky this kind of stuff just goes right over my head(ask if u dont get what i mean) but i did bruise my upper arm (more swelling than bruising) and have a bruised bone i think bc there is a bump and it still hurts.
OMG THAT WAS KELSY THAT FELL AND THE AMBULANCE CAME THAT ONE TIME? OMG I HAD NO IDEA! OMG! I cant believe it was her! Just shows how good her horse is though...he finished the in and out for her. OMG I cannot believe that was kelsy!
Actually, If the horse had refused before, you should tell it off. Also, that jump, if we're looking through the horse's eyes, is actually pretty freaking scary! I'd refuse at that!
I love how like, most of the horses either stopped and were like "how'd you get down there?" or continue jumping the line like nothing happened
These clips don't say so much about the riders' skills as about what genuine, willing and wonderful creatures horses really are!
I look up to these people because they understand how hard riding is and we're the only ones who get that its not just a "sit and do nothing" kind of sport. After a bad fall, its hard to get back on and I admire these people for getting on. :)
That girl at the end though haha, I feel like that's a lot of us. "Did you film that?!"
haha yea xD anytime i have a fall i'm like DID YOU GET THAT?! XD mostly because it will make for a great story later on :3
love the last one!
I know this video was uploaded ages ago, but this was entertaining. I loved the montage of the same jump that started at 1:22. The same jump and four different people! At least the first two stayed on :)
And the one at 2:38? Yeesh. She got one hard whack in and you can see her raising her arm for another one. Hopefully she got a talking to :)
All the riders and horses are freaking awesome. I would love to be half as good as you guys.
That poor girl that got stepped on. I hope she is OK! My horse is so sweet. He stops if my butt is out of the saddle, waits for me to fall, rubs me with his nose until I stand up, and then kisses me!!! Who knew I had such a sweet boy!!! Great video. =D
"Did you film that?!" 😂😂
Love the music! Lot a happening in there! I wanna go there! xD Mean me, well lets make a funnyyy comment :D

Thanks so much for sharing.. quite the assortment of falls... and hoping the horses are all okay...:)
I wish my falls were that awesome. I've only got one on tape :(
I agree with you so much Julia, horses are way to smart to say "my horse hates one corner of the arena so i dont ride him there" thats like saying "my horse enjoys bucking so i let him do it" they will learn that they can do whatever they please and get away with it. they need independent riders who they can trust! very well said
I used to watch this video religiously for some reason when I was a young kid.
Another awesome video!! I love Werner and your clip at the end!! Awesomeness!!!
Remember when you fall off at a scary jump always blame the jump!!
Remind me not to let the kid and misses compete here, this place is just epic lol. Great shots and quality of hte shots. Keep em coming...
amazing!! im sooooo excited you put up a new video!! keep the great work up! you take freaking AWESOME videos!
@ 1:22 that was a great save! great video! tells people the good, the bad, and the ugly of the sport. but i still love it no matter what!
2:35 Now THAT'S an honest pony.
OMG i gasped sooo loud at 0:17 !!!
the guy at the end running and jumping just made my day lol
3:00 That's exactly what my horses did at my last show xD It was caught on camera too!
ouchh at some of those! love it when you put new videos up!
omg. best clip ever, i sometimes carry a crop but now with my new horse i dont need one as he is fast enough without it
anyone who thinks horse riding is easy should watch this!
great video, i hope all the horses & riders were okay :]
xx

at :33 i love how the horse continues to do the course hahaha. poor riders and horseys though :(:(
0:30 Kept jumping for his rider, even though she wasn't on him! Thats so sweet!
ikr!
I love this video. I do a little bit of eventing but I mainy just do reining but Eventing is hard and you have to put a lot of hard work into it.... Bad days just make you better. :)

OMG, the footage of Werner was HYSTERICAL!!!
I am amazed at how many riders (not all) are ahead of their horses or have such a weak seat.
@Mistimed I cheered when he chucked her :D :D
2:56 the girl did an emergency dismount u can tell
the horse at :25 is so honest she fell and he kept jumping.
2:40 I was like "shorten your reins!"
@equestrian208 There were a few people that did make it over. The ones that did make it over struggled but they closed it after about the 7th horse and haven't used it as anything more than an option since.
Laughed soooo hard at 2:50 hahahaha
Love it!! XD
the girl at the end fell off her horse and said "Did you record that?" xD wow
1:04 "oh you fell, well see ya!"
Yeah I'm with you on that :)
Nice save at 1:23
+Hannah Bright have been riding for 6 years but on my second year of riding something like that happen pity I did end up sitting in dirt but I tried

and at 2:53, ONE REIN STOP PEOPLE!!!!! IT SAVES LIVES *grumbles and feels the need to make a video*
1:31 "I'm not scared. AHHH SCARY!!!
2:38 there is so many things wrong with that picture in my eyes
wow alot of these horses are so honest and made in! the riders tho.....
great vid and music!!!!!!! :)
omg great video!! whish i could do good vids like those! i love all your vids!!

That huge banky thing looks hard!
@horseriderhannah um the one at 2:51 was because she couldnt get the horse to stop. he kept canter fast in circles. and she couldnt stop him
The last one is so me xD
@kyonagirl1998 No she was trying to keep the horse going so it wouldn't refuse, but it did. I know it looks like shes being all 'keep going cuz im smacking you!' but she wasn't. If u ask me. I feel sorry for the riders but you did an amazing job!!!!
LOLZ, "did you film that?"
One time I came off real bad and i rolled over and yelled "You better on f***ing got that on tape or I'm gonna smash your guts in!?" it was so funny my friend broke down laughing for 10min+
3:12 that horse is such a good boy! Wouldn't you just love a horse like that?
LOL the white pony is sneaky on his refusals!
2:50 it looks like she wanted to fall off xD
3;50 I fell and Im proud of it! LOL
the song fits perfectly
Thank you.
@WOLFProductionsGA oh good , it looked like there was no stoping him! but its good she gained control again

THe horse at 3:25 has a scary jumping style !! His knees dont tuck
i ride western i dont know what half of these people are doing LOL but i love the song and the video is awesome! :)
Love Poplar place! I went and did a schooling show there! But what made me mad was that they didn't give out dressage ribbons!! :(
Well falling off for no reason is how you learn to keep your balance isn't it? Best incentive in the world for doing it right in my opinion.
1:38 "I'M FREEEEE!!!!!"
i used to ride a horse that would need a cosntant use of the crop even though i hated it, the thing is that I couldn't ride him without it or he wouldn't do absolutly anything. But now I ride a horse that the only thing he need is a good balance and good use of the reins, i believe it depends much on the type of horse and not only on what the rider wants
poplar place is my fave
this makes me happy i hav a good horse
2:40 lol serves her right
awesome video ! :D great clips xD 5* + fav!
Seriously to the people arguing and bitching about the jump at 2:40 - the horse was looking at the fence (most likely the liver pool) and losing impulsion/momentum - she was doing the right thing my encouraging the horse to move forward.
@03firefly I believe in training your horse to stop when you fall off, but again, that depends on the horse's personality and what is going on.
@eventandagilityadyct I do have to say you make a good point, I guess I could use it if the horse is at a canter/trot(haha) and won't stop
i have fallen off many times and most of them were like i was doing something and the next thing i know i am on the ground scrambling to get up( yeah i dont listen to the rule of stay down for a min to see if your okay) but i think i would know if i was hurt and everybody has bad days
1:32 That happend to me
2:20 outch

Hhaha! I read the title and I was confused.. but i get it now! Its the song :P
@PeppyTuber The Horse is like "OH HELL TO THE NO!" *dump*
i had gotten thrown off 3 weeks ago and my dad was telling this other person and said that we were lucky this kind of stuff just goes right over my head(ask if u dont get what i mean) but i did bruise my upper arm (more swelling than bruising) and have a bruised bone i think bc there is a bump and it still hurts.

Not even a minute in, and there's already an ambulance.
