Honestly, I feel like Conjuring 3 might have not felt as long and deep as conjuring 2 but it did explore some stuff out of the story like the faith that debbie has in arne the whole time and how arne is willing to be possessed to save a child who isn't even directly related to him. So yep, I did enjoy it. For a conjuring movie it did really well.
You might have recognised the ex priest Kastner the witch's dad is John Noble he played Denethor in Peter Jacksons LOTR. Overall I enjoyed the 3rd Conjuring film it was nice to explore more of Lorraines gifts. I'd love to see James Wan back for at least one last conjuring film though. I miss his specific style that the other directors can't imitate.
The Conjuring series is so aggressively mediocre and simply not at all scary. I truly can't believe how many people love them and think they're terrifying.
I think the whole point of The Conjuring films are to explore the question "what if the Warrens were right?" rather than trying to convince the audience that "the Warrens were absolutely right about everything and this is how it all played out". I'm able to completely separate the real life Warrens from the fictional Warrens in my head because the films are over-the-top in a way that feels purposeful. Ultimately, I see the films as using actual events as inspiration to craft horror movies merely for entertainment purposes.
I don't think either questions play into this movie. I just think that Wan found their books interesting and decided to make movies about based on them. Even the director Wan who absolutely respected the Warrens said that people need to be able to separate reality and fiction. This is just him seeing great movie material while not shitting on the source.
Plus Lorraine's reaction to that. She must be like, "Ed, really? We're convincing through evidence, you want to endanger her like it did the last couple of victims?" LOL
I know most of you are already aware why some of the audio of certain clips have to be muted, but just incase, it's another Reaction that took several edits to get it Visible on youtube :)
The creepiest moment to me was those fingers with the shower curtain. I love these films, this one not as much as the other two especially the first. I definitely missed James Wan's magic touch. It was definitely still good though, massive improvement from the director's last attempt that's for sure. I enjoyed the way they generally kept up Wan's visual language from the first two.
@Resident Zero I didn't even mean it as an insult to the movie lmao, even though I didn't find this one to be as scary as the first two. Just that, moment was kinda simple but it was definitely my favourite 'scare' of the film. It felt the most like a James Wan scare to me. I'm glad it worked for you but didn't really find the dead body scary, I think mainly because I felt like that was where the film started to jump the gun. I think I was more confused by what was happening, rather than being scared of it idk
I didn't think this one was scary at all, but I still came out of the cinema happy. If anything, the three conjuring films actually built up decent characters and I actually had a little tear when she revealed she'd put a pill in her necklace for him. Like that's real love. I totally distance the characters from the real life version of the Warrens in my mind, and I love these characters. Vera and Patrick have fantastic and believable chemistry
I loved the movie. There is creepyness, scares, and uneasiness. I loved this one better than the second, but the first one is my favorite above all. Edit: after rewatching the second movie I realize that I love it better than the third. Loved them all though :)
yeah i enjoyed it. knowing that i only saw the Nun once and i don't quite remember it, i thought it was okay. honestly the Nun is the most scariest and creepiest demons in the franchise to me.
I think it was a good movie not as scary as the others but had some good moment's. I also like how it also showed how ed and llorane relationships is unbreakable and how it showed the other character and made me actually cared for them.
I love that they hired a real child contortionist. At the very beginning, how Demon-David was moving was done by a child contortionist, and the rest of the cast had no idea, so their reactions are actually real
Personally I loved this movie just as much as the other conjurings. I know it’s not nearly as scary but to me, horror movies don’t always have to be about the scares. It had a good story, great acting, and was filmed in a way that kept me invested the whole time just like the other conjuring films.
A simple review, worse than the previous two, better than all the spin-offs? The best are the two of them, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. But not having James Wan and having seen the only other film by director Michael Chaves, La Llorona, I really expected much worse. It doesn't have the direction and vision of the first two, it's entertaining and well acted, and at least it's not the same story of a family in a house. It's something different. But it's not half as scary or creepy as the original was. And It was kind of sold as being about the real case of the trial, I was expecting something like Emily Rose, but it's not that at all. It's just the beginning and the last scene, the plot goes totally elsewhere. I think it would have been better to know this earlier, than to be waiting for something that never comes (cough-Mortal Kombat-cough!). I liked it, but James Wan has to admit he is a master of the genre, come back and at least close this saga he started. Because him producing movies for his less talented friends trying to imitate his style is not the same...
@Miguel Messina I meant there was no Mortal Kombat in the Mortal Kombat movie.... And about halfway through the movie you realized you were waiting for something that wasn't going to come.
I think the movie started to confuse its own self and be lost in a complete mess, all thanks to the direction. I also do believe that James Wan would organise it better and it would be very much more consistent throughout the whole time. The movie started good, but when the first twist of the plot started to be revealed things quickly lost the purpose they were trynna give and by the time of the last twist on the plot, it was just a bunch of mess trying to end that confusion.
Of the three Counjuring Films I like this one least but still thought it was entertaining. When I hear based on a true story I never let that guide my opinion because I know only about 1-5% of the film will be the true story.
There are a lot of horror movie Easter eggs spread throughout this movie Try to Find Them All. I watch with my son as it debuted on his birthday he's thirteen and the first two horror movies he watched were Conjuring 1 and 2. So.. part 3 being released on his birthday was pretty epic for him and although we can't see it in theatres here in Canada, we rented it and made our own home theatre experience happen.
Pretty sure they are a cult who do their work in the name of Malthus, who is the demon who uses Annabelle. So it just ties right in with everything and it shows that because the cult is still active the demon is still going to be active in other movies.
Fun fact, I am from Connecticut and live near Monroe where the warrens live. The gazebo is real and is still in their back yard and can be see from the road when you drive past :)
@sc0rpi0 But how can you forget about scary moments tho, i mean yeah i understand that the emotion between ed lorraine warren was great and even i too agree of that, but, that doesen't make this great out of all 3, Nothing gave me the feel conjuring 1 gave me, its still my top out of 3, but don't get me wrong, i liked this movie too, only 1 minus thing was, it was different, i didn't meant that u should not try different, but this movie was clearly different from the others, its because i think this case is not only paranormal but court's too, and we got so much scenes at day time (which isn't a minus point, bcz it follows what happened in real), and these 2 are not minus points, This the minus point, as they knew that this movie's going to have more day time they should have used dark, erie color grading, like they used for conjuring 1 or 2, it was cold and eerie, instead it was bright, colourful, that would have definetly saved the film, but its your opinion your after all, and i respect it.
I love the mystery of this movie and that Drew was in it more. A real team with the Warrens. I love the characters, Ed and Lorraine are fantastic characters as always, them being aged up, learning how they met, and that Ed was more vulnerable. I liked Arne, his girlfriend, and her brother. I liked the antagonist. I like that they brought back the Demons possessing corpses, like in Annabelle: Creation and The Nun and referenced the Ram Cult from Annabelle. The only thing I didn't understand is the thing with John Noble's character of not telling the church his wife died in childbirth and raised the girl in secret that a sin or something? My ranking is: 1. Annabelle: Creation 2. Conjuring 3 3. The Nun 4. Conjuring 1 5. Conjuring 2 6. Annabelle 7. Annabelle Comes Home 8. Curse of La Llorona I wonder when The Nun 2 will be announced I love the mythology of the Conjuring Universe so much. I'm wonder how they're gonna tie Lorraine in with Sister Irene and The Nun that they said they were going to do with the Nun sequel? I had a weird theory they might make them the same character, might explain how the Warrens became involved with the Maurice case. But that doesn't really make sense as the why Irene changed her name to Lorraine? Also between The Nun and Annabelle that's 20 years...Maybe they're "sisters" lol? I'll do another binge watch later this week.
The priest is played by John Noble The only thing I can think of that you've seen him in was in season 2 of The Boys as Butcher's father He's also been on Fox's Sleepy Hollow and provided the voice for Scarecrow in Arkham Knight
He was also the Steward of Gondor Denethor, father of Boromir & Faramir in parts 1 and two of Lord of the Rings. And was in Sci fi thriller series Fringe.
I think the heart attack/heart trouble thing with Ed was supposed to be connected to when the priest from the opening scene said the demon is powerful it can inflict heart attacks on command or whatever the phrasing was.
In the beginning exorcism, the boy was real, however they used a female contortionist around the same size as the actor of David, and C.G swapped the performers faces. So all the twisting was real
The fact that the sound of skin to skin contact made me jump is amazing! (The part when the demon grabs him from behind after the “I know who you are” bit)
my least favorite conjuring film, but the most interesting story. i also like how in the first film, there’s no question that the family is being attacked and ed and lorraine never doubt them. in the second film, the warrens want to believe the family but are skeptical of them. in this one, everyone involved knows it’s real but it’s the rest of the world they have to convince. it’s all about perspective
great reaction and review guys, always love seeing you two. for me, i thought the movie was decently enjoyable and interesting. i like how different it was than the other two.
It's also a nice bit of foreshadowing to the end where Lorraine helps Ed overcome being possessed, the same way she helped the mom from the first movie.
I think this movie was pretty much good. When you think about the real life aspect of the story, I dont think any movie ever made as Real life incidents ask us to buy the whole thing it shows. I think there are pretty exagirated moments and unbelievable plots in this movie. but still the Filim making is pretty much solid and has a pretty much good satisfying story.👍
I hope you guys will actually be in a theater to see D U N E. I can’t imagine watching that at home and doing that much editorializing throughout the entire film. That would suck.
I’m trying to figure out what they expected from a conjuring movie. Did they expect to watch a movie with a bunch of occurrences they’ve witnessed themselves? It’s entertainment fellas don’t forget.
@@flippaclipanimations1933 Yeah I know, but he did come up with the story for the movie. He said he wanted it to be more about them since it’s the part of the Final Chapter and wanted it to be more mystery then horror. Which I think was a excellent decision in my opinion.
"It's devil poop" LMAO! I just imagined a demon moving the water bed, squatting on the floor squeezing out a satanic choad saying "Fuck your water bed nigga!" then moving it back.
The witches' father is played by John noble. He played the character of Denethor, son of Ecthelion in the lord of the rings movies. More famously know as Boromir's papa.

It's fun being able to watch basically the whole movie, while also watching the best reactors on youtube.
"Let's have another baby, bring another child into this world" 😂
Great spot by John, Parron is indeed the family from the first movie !
It's also a nice bit of foreshadowing to the end where Lorraine helps Ed overcome being possessed, the same way she helped the mom from the first movie.
People who said this movie was bad or boring or okay didn't watch it, this movie was great
It was definetely the weakest of the trilogy and most scenes werent as scary the movie intended it to be
@@johnluigilorenzo7890 no that's just wrong
@@nirvanas8086 it’s true
@@BrysonRyenn it's not. Y'all ain't watch it at all
They were only here for the scares, nothing more. Not the characters, story, or anything else. Sad.
The old priest was on “The Fringe”
And was also Denethor II in The Lord of the Rings :) John Noble.
John Noble was so great in Fringe!!! I can never see him and not think of his character.
@@PeaceLoveMusic75 True, he was iconic.
Loved this movie, too bad i was at the literal bottom of the theatre, looking up the actors noses. Time to watch it again with the rejects 🍿
Every time y'all asked each other a question about the plot, I was like "have you not been watching it?" 😂 Enjoyed Ur reaction tho. Was fun
Yes! I was waiting for this!
This was the least scary horror movie I've ever seen....I loved it
Pratham Jindal huh ?
India is officially everywhere 😎
I think this movie was pretty much good.
When you think about the real life aspect of the story, I dont think any movie ever made as Real life incidents ask us to buy the whole thing it shows. I think there are pretty exagirated moments and unbelievable plots in this movie. but still the Filim making is pretty much solid and has a pretty much good satisfying story.👍
If I had to rate first 3 Conjuring films it would go like this for me :
1) The Conjuring
2) The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
3) The Conjuring 2
4:51 😆 now I gotta watch the movie 🍿
Where did u guys watch this movie? I can’t find it anywhere
I hope you guys will actually be in a theater to see D U N E. I can’t imagine watching that at home and doing that much editorializing throughout the entire film. That would suck.
Love watchalongs !
I was hoping to see how you both reacted to I got shit on my hands when they met farmer priest
Chicken shit to be exact lmao
when the scarecrow is in a movie, you know it’s gonna be spooky…
I’m trying to figure out what they expected from a conjuring movie. Did they expect to watch a movie with a bunch of occurrences they’ve witnessed themselves? It’s entertainment fellas don’t forget.
There face when David turns into monster 😂
you see this is why u turn the lights on especially in ur dark house in the morning
is nobody going to acknowledge the fact that he also plays billy in wandavision
You just did pal 👍
@@jonastiger1000 nice
Yay loved this movie
I loved this movie! I’m really happy James Wan focused more on the story and the relationship between Ed & Lorraine.
James wan didn't direct this one
@@flippaclipanimations1933 Yeah I know, but he did come up with the story for the movie. He said he wanted it to be more about them since it’s the part of the Final Chapter and wanted it to be more mystery then horror. Which I think was a excellent decision in my opinion.
This movie reminded me of the haunting of hill house. Absolutely loved it.
Is it because Julian Hilliard is there
@@TheReelReesePod not at all 😂
"It's devil poop" LMAO!
