I also appreciate a great feather when I find one. I found a great site called Feather Atlas that has helped me ID a few I didn't recognize. Great job on your blue watercolor feather!
Thank you so much for sharing your process and your artistry in this way. This painting of the blue feather is wonderful, and I learn so much in watching you work.
I just attempted a feather and ended up not liking all the layers of paint, so what you are saying really resignates with me as an artist right now. Thank you for sharing, God bless!
Sandra, sorry you had camera problems but very glad you didn't stop or give up. The green and blue made a beautiful color for the feather plus the shading on it. What was also very nice was listening to what you are doing in your art style. Hope you keep adding videos. Essie
Hi Essie. I'm glad you liked the video. I almost didn't post it because of the problems in it, but I thought that my viewers would forgive me. Thank you for doing that. Yes, my next video subject is rolling around in my head!......
Where in WI? Go, Pack, go! I live in the G.B. area! ... oh, nice feather, btw. I just found a bluebird feather and will try to pain it, but it'll be only my second wc painting.
Hi Sandra. Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked the video. I used 2 brushes in this video. A Blick Master Stroke which is a red sable (that I have not recommended since I realized that the animals are killed for the hairs on their tails - I always am conscious that an animal died for my brush - sad indeed), and the brush that makes the finer lines is an Anna Mason round.
Love it
Than you for interesting video!
beautiful feather, so delicate. I like to see you painting in real time, and to see the colors you use. Thanks!
Thank you Vero Klassmann. I'm glad you like the video!
