Yeah, it's not just the personality that characterizes someone, not because someone it's almost everytime serious or mad, means that it's a bad person, or doesnt cares about it's loved ones
I like to think that Muriel love Eustace because she's the type to think everyone has a chance to show their good side. And Eustace, despite it being eluded for him to be raised to be a real jerk still has moments where her belief are vindicated.
What's more, he is curmudgeonly, greedy, and often selfish... but a life of beatdowns from his mother, his father, his brother, and life in general still led him to marry the nicest woman on earth. He does appreciate that, when it's not more comedic that he doesn't!

Old gal knew what she was doing. Years later as an adult who likes to cook, and it turns out that vinegar (in small amounts) really does go in pretty much anything. Soups, gravies, salad dressings, marinades, sauces, juices, even doughs and batters can usually benefit from a few drips of the stuff.
@@DaRkLoRdZoRc Not even just cooking either; you can use it in canning and preserving, cleaning and disinfecting, you can mix it with a little bit of salt for a potent mouthwash, as a de-greaser, you can even use it to get rust (and a lot of other things) off of metal, like with firearms, knives and other tools, all on top of the fact it's all-natural and non-toxic. This stuff really is a miracle ingredient to life.
After years of watching Courage I realized that vinegar helps complement and balance soups that are either too thick and rich like chowders, things that are a bit too much on the sweet side, makes food last a little longer, and is a more convenient alternative to lemons or limes, which are hard to seasonally come by in the rural Midwest.
One of eustace characters traits is that he does the things that Muriel finds hard or difficult to do, because he feels like that's the "man of the house" work that's why he gets jelous at the Magic tree so he takes pride in doing those things
He gets jealous because he's too lazy to do farmwork (only fixing stuff up when Muriel is insistent on it) and got frustrated it became obvious how unreliable he really was 😂

I like to imagine that Eustace actually was a decent man that only showed his decency to Muriel. Not really saying he's a good person, he's done questionable things, and I'll also admit that Muriel is a bit ignorant which probably played into how she came to chose Eustace. But it's also so wholesome to see the both of them being happy with each other.
I hate being this guy but I genuinely think people see “what they think their person they fell for can become” more than “what they really are and may always will be.” I’m not saying this is always the case but watch it if you come across someone who’s capable of pushing hard and changing into what you think they can be, because if it’s not who they want to be then there’s hell waiting there, not to mention if they want to go further than you can follow that makes it even worse. I’m not saying love a chump who never changes, but I am letting you know if you and the person your soul and heart sets on aren’t willing to see each other for the rest of your days and only ever really be with them no matter what and no matter what the heck they are and may be doing you probably can’t tend to that love forever:(. Just being straight up by the way, love is hard, but so damn rewarding. Also, I’d argue growing together is what’s best, but being there, making sure to be there so that can happen is so important for it to.
