I am a Scotch Irish girl, born and raised in the Appalachians of East KY. I descend from Dillion Asher, the first white man to settle the Red Bird Valley of Clay County KY in the late 1700s and his cabin still stands today. My state is land locked and traditionally we have been isolated and suspicious of outsiders and kept ourselves to ourselves. I just have to tell you that I have never realized until now but your videos have awakened a sense of pure wanderlust in me that I never knew I had. Thank you for that. The beautiful places that you have taken me to is just wonderful. I can't help but wonder how old that ancient ice in the glacier is?? The endless shades of blue are mesmerizing. Isn't the planet that we live on quite remarkable? I can't wait to watch the next Fleming Yacht adventure. ...keep them coming !!!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I create these videos simply because I enjoy doing so and it thrills me to hear that they inspire a wanderlust in you. The planet on which we live is indeed quite remarkable. I have been lucky enough to see more than my fair share and I am always reminded that it behoves the current generation to hold it in trust for future generations. There are many ways to indulge one's wanderlust and it is not necessary to have a fancy boat. In the Pacific Northwest, the state ferries provide a good way to get around. The ice in Alaska is supposedly around 400 years old. In Greenland it is more like 10,000 years. Thanks again. You made my day.

Why am I watching this. I live in Juneau and see this stuff all the time. Disclaimer: This video only shows the good weather, not the 100 inches of rain mentioned.
I will say this video was edited very well and shot skillfully. Music and narration are top shelf also! Cheers!

Beautiful recounting of your adventures. All places we know well and love. Surprised you did not enter Icy Bay as it surely would welcome such a splendid boat as yours.

Another great video. Thank you Mr. Fleming. I'm curious about your speed and GPH burn while at cruising speed.

another beautiful video. I love them and seeing your voyages. How did you deal with the ice other and looking for the thinnest spot and going slow? Keep up the great work. And safe travels.

I'm not sure what the folks at Flemming to better... build phenomenal cruising vessels or make incredible cruising documentaries.
