In this video I build a 10MHz OCXO pocket frequency reference from mostly junk box parts.

I like what you did here, and I'm really looking to see v2.0 when you've sorted the teething problems.

I think you need a squerwave shaper for the output buffer,
a comperator or a schmidttriger or something.

The part I used for the inverter/buffer is a Schmitt trigger (I think I called it a Schottky by mistake) part, but without the modifications I mention, its output is a bit crappy as seen in the vid.
I'll get another set of boards made and make a V2.0 soon. :)

@@NearFarMedia i was about to correct you when I saw the schmitt triger symbol, but then i said, bah! is like a typo because of the tequila or or some other liquorous stuff, haha.
regarding the ttl... why not using bjt or fets?
thank you for the project and thank you for share.

Nice set, please make a Video how to fix the squerwave failur.

That DC-DC gave you bit of a fight, maybe you can expand the pcb pads in V2 and use a short piece of copper to connect it.

Good, but gps disciplined is even better.

You could discipline it with a cheap Ebay GPS and an Arduino.

Have you completed the version 2 upgrade? I did not see anything on your channel about it yet.

Not yet, it's on the list of things to do...
I was actually thinking about it just the other day so I'll bump it further up towards the top of the list. :)

A Rubidium reference is only 150 euros. Why would you ever bother with this?

You're right, why would you ever have a hobby that isn't exactly as efficient as possible?

Because this cost me less than $10, most of which was the enclosure.
It was made simply for the fun of it mostly from spare parts I had laying around.
Why don't you make a video showing us how to buy something off the shelf? I'm sure that will be an interesting first video.
Besides, I already have a Leo Bodnar GPS reference, and a HP 5065A Rubidium standard anyway.

Give me a link where is the shop that sells Rubidium frequency reference for 150 euros

@@Raveent Holy f*ck, what's with all the brainlets who ask for links to stuff when RUclips has not allowed external linking for 10 years to curtail bot spam as much as possible?
Why, it's the same kind of brainlets who are unable to go to ebay and search for the thing they were looking for.
