The raw amethyst all day!! Don’t get me wrong Limestone with magenta 990V6 but I couldn’t do it for 220! with that said, the 990V6 is absolutely one of my favorite shoes! It’s my go to! I’m with you on the price hike, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the colorway. I bought my all grey 993s off NBs website a year ago for $185, today if I wanted to grab another pair it would run me $225! They’re just increasing prices on some of the made in USA models I think.
The 996 is a stability shoe for people who pronate (ankle rolls inward) which is why it has the big plastic piece on the medial side and why it costs more (in general compared to others).
100% feel you on the “paying too much”. I was eyeing the classic grey 993’s about a month ago for $200; recently checked and now they are $225….that extra $25 😅

I got the shoes.... had a 19.99 sale tag on em 😂 I knew the shoe went on mega clearance ages ago unfortunately I wasn't in any region that had on em sale and they didn't online. I have been collecting all of the SI-18 international collabs to catch em all so to speak. Only missing Ghostbusters.

With current inflation and the fact that the V6 uses both Encap AND Fuelcell in the midsole justifies the $200 retail for the core colorways. I feel like a $10 upcharge would've been more appropriate for the Teddy Pairs. $220 is definitely pricey. Doesn't help that it will probably go on sale in boutiques months later. But I'm definitely with you with having to have these! Too fire not to have in the summer season!

You aren’t alone on the v6! It’s a bulky sneaker, not everyone gets down with that. Tbh, I wasn’t immediately sold on it but now with some color it’s completely different
Sometimes, you've just got to spend that little bit extra to get what you want. As long as it's not every time and your budget is what you can afford, go for it. Just grabbed the Nmd S1 Philllthy for the most I've ever spent on a single pair and they're worth it.

tbh that's the only colorway you'll need from the new saison pack, so it's ok to spend a little more ;). The Amethyst is still fire, I really like that one
