What an unbelievable insight into Magnus and Gukesh. And Ding. Do we not forget, there is a family behind and within every person. My heart goes out to all the players.
Gukesh thinks like a real champion. Carefree attitude, even though he's a hard worker; he lets his intuition guide him and relaxes completely. The most scary type of player to face! He has a humble likeable character and I'm hoping he will be the next world champion,
Ive become a big chess fan in the last 5 years. I was really happy and impressed with Ding in the last WC. But Gukesh is my favorite player and he has the heart of a champion. Go Gukesh. Big fan from America.
Ehhh... it is good content, but educational content, no matter how slick, rarely performs as well as content that leans more towards a mix of entertainment + education (including humor, peronalities, and so on as part of the content). Lets not get ahead of ourselves.
It was a treasure to listen to Magnus's dad, I hope many parents (I am not one) take the lessons to heart. I love parents that are systemic not haphazard with their children. They assume a hand's responsible approach to trying to rise good people. They are such a blessing for humanity as a whole.
I really have to commend the production quality of these videos, Take Take Take Team! It's really incredible. This is really pushing chess toward its status as not a board game, but a sport.

Final Score: 5.5-7.5 And, Gukesh becomes the youngest WCC, and is all set to meet either Nordirbek or Arjun for the next WCC in 2026 !!
I think people are making too little out of the fact that Gukesh just achieved the second highest performance rating in history at only 18 years old... this guy has the potential to hit highs that were previously thought impossible with a foundation like that.
Reminder that: - Magnus' best TPR ever was at ~19 years of age at Nanjing Pearl 2009, which was 3002 TPR. - Fabiano's best TPR ever was at ~22 years of age at Sinquefield 2014, which was 3098 TPR.

One thing I think few new to chess knows is that Carlsen actually withdrew from the first candidates he was qualified to enter (2012, he qualified by rating). The reasoning was that he was too young, could possibly be too much pressure.
If I remember correctly, there was also some disagreement from Magnus's team about the changes to the Candidates format. Quote from his letter to FIDE in 2010: "Reigning champion privileges, the long (five year) span of the cycle, changes made during the cycle resulting in a new format (Candidates) that no World Champion has had to go through since Kasparov, puzzling ranking criteria as well as the shallow ceaseless match-after-match concept are all less than satisfactory in my opinion." He's certainly been consistent and vocal since the very beginning about his displeasure with the system in place to determine the World Champion.
Some people are crying about the title.. this title is so apt..Even ding will approve of it in his current form. Gukesh will be the youngest world chess champion.
These two fathers of prodigies are so down-to-earth, without a touch of arrogance or boastfullness. I also did not detect any false modesty in either one.
Speaking for myself and I'm sure most others, it is difficult to understand how much better a Super GM is than an average decent player. It's like imagining in what ways is an F1 driver better than an average driver. Of course they are but how? Topics would be mentioned like pattern recognition, games memorized, the ability to evaluate...etc. But if Take Take Take could do a video on very specific details that would help us mere mortals understand even more about how and in what ways these players are so good it would, I believe, help spectators of the sport to mentally elevate them even more.
