Thousands of Capetonians are expected to flock to the annual SA Naval Festival in Simon’s Town this weekend, which returns after a seven-year break.
Festival-goers can expect an action-packed programme, featuring various navy ships.
But amid the funfair, it’s the docking of a Russian frigate - which has raised further questions about South Africa’s position of non-alignment in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
