The fact the reseller called the manufacturers creating less margins BS is hilarious!!! Like bro you were exploiting the system and now can’t. Jokes on you!
Why should Nike scaling down the production numbers? It makes absolutely no sense from a business stand point. Why should they just sell 30k shoes when they easily can sell 100k of this shoe? More money for Nike and a very good time for us. I hope this f..king reseller game finally ends.
@@broski1475true but still if they were to keep the prices the same and drop more pairs, wouldn’t they be making more money 😂 people are going to buy the shoes and they don’t cost a lot to make

I do agree with the reseller's having a hard time. 1. Yeezy price drops (even limited sizes) have brought negative prices for local resellers who have DS. 2. Recent Jordan releases are mostly General Releases (surprisingly for j3 AMM too) 3. Buyers are now conservative when it comes to spending (averaging 200-250 USD) 4. The amount of online sellers nowadays is quite huge due to the pandemic. Plus it's easy to cop under retail nowadays 5. The SRP is quite stiff for jordans. (i.e. Jordan 1 OG Highs are approaching 200 USD retail which is retail for J3 and J4 way back then) 6. Even kobe's are now reselling SRP SB Dunks has nice margins with a low retail. (yuto, FL,PPG, etc.). hard to cop tho.
Reselling sneakers that just dropped for under retail = stolen sneakers bro. It's 100% profit when they steal them from a train car or a warehouse. Like how else can people get unreleased Jordans and sell them $50 under retail
Is it not obvious that companies Like StockX and Goat are getting all the shoes back doored to them. Hence thousands going for just over retail. If the demand is so high which it is on the thunders resellers would start asking more for them. StockX and Goat need to insure people still go to them for the hyped sneakers. If they don’t get the hyped sneakers then they don’t get the traffic and that means no business Ps why is no one talking about the poor white thunder quality. My oxidised green 4’s are twice the sneaker in quality
No one i know buys shit from those places because a lot of people are getting fakes. That's what i heard about them. Its risky tryna get the legit ones
@@FaceofGoodnEvil Sure i get what you’re saying, but they’ve already got them ready to ship out express. Then Goat had a tone of sneakers that they’d shipped out that had never been opened as they knew they were real as they must of bought them direct from the manufacture’s importer.
What's happening is the sneaker resellers are showing the market with the product is actually worth and what people are willing to pay, so the brands are raising the price point beyond resale availability
resellers losing money is a great news in my opinion😂😂 Just managed to get my hand on a pair of Jordan 1 Low Mocha, which is probably impossible to get if it releases few years ago.
It’s a lot of the wannabe resellers… asking in release posts if they will be “worth” picking up. We are now in a time to buy what you like and want to wear. I love it!
Couple things.... Shoe resellers are still needing to buy/get the shoes directly from Nike first. Second, you/they are assuming that resellers are getting their shoes at retail. They are typically getting them significantly discounted (or stolen) and are generally making some profit when selling at retail.
When shoes are below retail before release, what's going on there? Where are they coming from, and why would anyone be selling them at a loss? Are they fakes?
Jordan 4 white thunder were more plentiful than originally anticipated and it was best to wait it out 6 to 12 months for resale when they should sell much more on StockX
Weirdly, skating in 95s was a thing so they may not change the sole, and also runners are making a weird appearance in skating lately with a lot of the ASICS team wearing their running shoes in skate clips and some new balance people doing it as well
Great comments. I bought a pair of air max 95 volt (og color way) back in 1995. I remember this year looking at the reissue pair from 2018? On Stock X this year and thinking no way on that price. I will be happy in 2025 when they release them again and can buy them retail. Sneakers are great , over priced reselling not good.
Wow....is it really that cold in the UK, that you're wearing a thick oversized sweater Elliot??? I'm from Austria and if i would wear this, i would die from overheating at 28-30 Celsius.....
If Nike really wanted to shut down the resale market, they could've released simple colorways of highly sought-after models, like the Black Cat Jordan 4s. You mention it's wild that Jordan Brand is releasing the Black Cat 4s again, just a straightforward all-black colorway. These are insanely popular, and Nike could’ve mass-produced them like the Black Air Max 90s, selling millions. I see people wearing them all the time, and I’m sure a lot of them are fake. It's clear there's massive demand for them.
StockX's numbers are completely made up these days, though. The transaction numbers and selling price numbers are all overblown to make the market look hotter than it is.
