Dude, no one is doubting Milroe's athletic ability. But after the UGA game, Milroe threw 5 TDs and 9 INTs. 5 PASSING TDS IN 8 GAMES..That is astoundingly bad. So telling Bama fans to shutup and not criticize Milroe on Social Media is kind of mad. Im sorry, but Jalen Milroe is not a good passing QB, and I dont think thats going to change. So yea, Im ready for the end of the Milroe era. I appreciate the guy and his leadership, but he hamstrings this offense. Thats just facts.
You got it wrong. The blame should go to coach when he’s starting a QB who’s not as talented as the backups on the bench according to fans such as yourself. Put the blame on the coach who actually sets the starting rosters. Wouldn’t that make more sense than trying to blame the player who you consider not to be a good QB? That would be my position.
Chris, please rewatch games of Bama during the Tua and Mac years. We were far more explosive inspite of not having a speedseter QB. At that time, we could actually spread the ball to our play makers. 2018-2020 offenses were SO balanced, we could score with any player at anytime. In those seasons, we would actually see more of our 'developmental' players because we would dominate early on and build significant leads. That was even the running joke about why Tua didn't win the Heisman in 2018, he never played in the 4th Quarter. Compare that to our offense now. It's almost night and day. How many times did our 2nd and 3rd stringers get to play in atleast the 4th Q this year? How many of those games were SEC games? How about last year? Past 2 seasons, looks like 8 and only 3 of them were SEC games. That's tragic. Granted, our offensive abilities seemed to trend down even during the Bryce years, and we've had several changes at OC. But as for the past 2 years, the largest common denominator is Milroe. He has unbelievable physical gifts, he's a model guy, but the critism isn't about either of those. His ability as a passer that can process defenses is lacking. It was in 2022, it was in 2023, and it appears it still is as we conclude 2024. He's hindered this offense's ability through scheme both years. If we can do the things he does well, we're adequate. If he's forced to read defenses consistently, we may have a few hang ups, but he's doing that under pressure, its going to be a rough night. See Texas, Michigan, Tenn, SC, OK. I think Clint and Jimmy last year made a great comment as what's a possible outcome with having a running QB. When you have a QB that's good at running, he may vulture carries from your runningbacks to the point where your offense's run game goes through him instead. Judging by the yards and the carries, that's exactly what happened for the past 2 seasons. Combine that with a top heavy passing attack and I'm surprised we didn't have more Oklahoma games given we played far better squads before then. 'We'll we haven't seen Ty come out as relief yet so he must not be that good to make the change' If fans can't critisize Milroe for his lack luster performances, why can we then critisize someone we've only seen in one half of a monsoon? Milroe has represented Bama well as man and he may end up being a superstar in the leauge. If he does I can humbly eat crow, but we've been saying that several years now and it hasn't happened yet. Looks like he's going to the NFL, but if not... rough.
Needs to move on. The OC does not have it in front of him or utilize him as a quarterback. He’s very limited on passing. Only thing you can do is run and even that sucks.
I love Milroe. He's a great person! I wish him the best, wholeheartedly. But it's Ty's time. I want to give him his chance. I think he'll be great, but I'm prepared to be wrong. If he sucks, pull him. But give him his chance. Give him the keys to the car. Let him practice with the ones full-time. Give him the team. Let him cook. Let's see how he does.
We might not have to play Russell but he will beat out Simpson and Mack. We are gonna be loaded with great receivers we need a great QB Russell is that
Deboer didn't have a choice as to who would start at qb this year. It was Milroe's team. However, Simpson has been loyal to Bama and has earned a shot. It's up to him to perform in a starting role. Mack isn't ready and Keelon Russel will definitely not be ready in year 1.
If Ty was better than Milroe then I firmly believe Ty would of been playing, I guess most of these fans forgot about last year when Milroe was benched and what the team looked like without him
That because the O line was so bad and plus Ty didn't even start and that game was just weird. There was a storm and bad weather conditions. Usually in bad weather conditions your offense is going to be limited. Plus there run game in the first half of that game wasn't good either. Ty didn't look bad either he didn't look great either. It not like he had a couple games either to showcase.
Dang sure wish I could go back 30 years and be a mid- level player. I could get a degree and cash and set myself up for life. Worst could happen would get injured and still have a future. These dudes have it so frigin easy
Please let Simpson play and Milroe go to NFL, reason why they didn't sub is because Milroe freakish athleticism he could go 70 yards in a flash please leave for nfl
100%. God I hope that guy doesn't stick around for another year. He is a blessing and a curse. Against the better teams he's a curse. Venables exposed THE FUCK out of Milroe and the entire Alabama scheme by shutting down Milroe's running early, and then that was the ball game. Milroe is a good front runner, but once the team starts struggling and he can't build confidence running, his passing starts REALLY sucking harder and harder. I don't want ESPN highlights of Milroe with a 70-yard TD run against Kentucky but then getting beat three or four teams against solid competition next year.
Ty Simpson should be the starter. As long as he doesn't drop the ball before passing the goal line we're good. I don't think there should even be a debate. That guy is very talented. Ty Simpson all the way.
I'm so glad yal ain't my fans. Fake assessment. I'm so glad all these player's jumping ship. Because they know we in trouble without milroe. Ty Simpson sucks. That's facts. So all these hype up med player's are leaving. Good. Look at their stats. The ones we need are staying. Kelon will be qb after Simpson shows he sucks. He's a qb 2 that's it. We need to rebuild. Our fake fan base also.

It was 5 tds against the sec to 10 picks only counting the sec

4 tds was dropped and one called back dont forget that
And add in his rushing tds that helped us win games when the rbs was getting stuffed while u pulling numbers
Milroe’s Achilles has always been the blitz, recognizing the blitz, and dumping the ball off to hot route.
Your absolutely right teams that can have learned to defend him
All in all we have a huge opportunity to see the transformation to DeBoer Ball. This year didn’t get us where we want to be our upside is phenomenal
@@stanroberts8343 phenomenal? Hope you're right!

Team looked like a good team with Simpson in there. Run game popped off because usf scared of Simpsons arm.
Jalen play the first half of the bowl game. Simpson and Mac play the second. The second half that is.

Is it Milroe or Ryan Grubs not being there? Was it Deboers offense or Grubs?
