Ben The Coin Geek
Old Pueblo Coin
Guy made a mistake sending those coins back😂
Love Franklins and really enjoyed the video and commentary.
Hi Ben, interesting, I think people just are afraid of non graded coins anymore. I started collecting in the late 1950’s, so got a lot of ungraded coins from those times, most of my recent purchases are graded, guess I am as bad as the rest of them, Enjoyed the video, nice coins, Bill
If it's a raw coin but priced as if it were graded I would stay away from it. However I prefer getting raw coins over graded ones just cause it's far cheaper and if my eye is as good as I think it is then I can grab high end proofs for a lot cheaper and get them graded myself, assuming the grade I get is priced higher than the cost of getting it graded.
I have this same Capital Set, i love it.
Nice coins, thanks. I had guessed 64-65-66, so I missed the first one.
Great coin talk dear sir,you are so wonderful host🥰👍⭐️❤️⭐️
I like Franklin's nice coins
Love the franklins!
Gotta love capitol plastic holders.
Not everyone has a possibility to get coins graded by NGC or PGCS. In Europe it is pretty hard to get coins graded. I think only Paris=France has a place to grade coins. For raw coins it is very risky all of those could have been problem coins like: cleaned, dipped, whizzed,....
Thanks for sharing . It’s why education is so important .
Franklin's we're my favorite coins to collect before Lincoln cents snagged me. 1. Lincoln cents 2. Franklin half's 3. Draped Busts. I can see why he sent them back though cause the hair lines I seen when you first showed them, I thought they were too but evedently NGC didn't.
You almost got your 1000$ from just those 3 coins nice.
I found a DEEP cameo Franklin...1953 ! There are unfortunately milk spots beginning to develop...but the "frostiness" was too deep to pass up. Rare - I'm sure
3 years old and just got the notification 😂
Some good lookin' Franklins.
It's a shame I would have given you that price for the whole set!
I would have thought PF-63, PF-66, PF-66 in chronological order. That 1950 had a lot of hairlines for a proof. I wouldn't want it in my collection, but the other two would be great.
Yeah he had a great deal should of kept them.
50 = Proof details, 51 = PF 66, 52 PF 65.
Mr. Geek ,
What is the average grade on Franklin halves that are still in their original government packing ?
I have 18 proof sets from 1960, 61,62, & 63.
If you look at the population reports it looks like 67 is the most frequent grade From those years .
I liked the 52 the best (lucky guess). Question: does anyone do a "Full Bell Lines" designation?
Not for proof Franklin's, only business strike franklins get that designation
Hey are you guys open this week?
Seems like 1 person is grading each coin by itself because there is no consistency in coin grading in coins that really do look the same even at close range vary in 3 grades makes no sense at all !
None of those coin have been cleaned he just wanted his money back.
I have some old coins pm me if u like
the whole coin cleaning thing is a bunch of bull shit
Sorry but those grades are BS, too low, unless I'm missing some major dings, scratches and hairlines that I can't see on the video.
