A week later Ricky Stuart dislocates his ankle and the Raiders season is over. A shame we never got to see these 2 sides in a grand final. It would've made for a epic game.

Remember seeing that. Was it a Saturday afternoon game? I was at a girlfriend’s house. She hated league but let me watch the game. It was a terrible sight.
With decisions like that Brisbane No Try, no wonder Rugby League needed video replays in the then-near future 🤣

@@StephenWestSydI fight a lot with people on the comments sections of today’s NRL games. They say the officials are the worst ever, but I cite this decision as one of the worst ever, and harrigan was supposedly one of the best.
It's funny watching back at all the howlers with no recourse. Video ref fixed things, but then took it too far and started checking everything

With temperature at 0ºC, would Canberra be likely get a ground record in this era? There was something special about Friday night back then, they were big games like this and people didn't want to miss it. Now the majority of games are played at night, plus dumb times like Thursdays and Fridays at 6pm. Whilst averages up and I think we're missing a trick but not making Friday nights the match of the round, make it special and get most games played on Sunday afternoons.
