Just bought one of these in Natural Timber finish and took it to guitar lesson last week. My instructor who plays a Maton, said he would like to buy one himself. I found everyone looking at me when we hit certain notes, the Rodondo was so distinctive I got a wow more than once.....Just thrilled with this mighty little Fender.
I purchased the Sunburst in Redondo Player recently and it's a really solid guitar which sounds great both acoustically and plugged in! It has a bright, vibrant tone which works well for either finger picking or using a flat pick. I play fingerstyle without nails so this slightly brighter sound really suits that approach! Of course when using a flat pick you can change the tone considerably by the thickness of the pick so the thicker you go the more mellow the tone gets. A .60 gives you more of a jangly quality, .73 a bit mellower but still with a touch of shimmer to the sound, when you get around a .90 the tone definitely has a get more of that mid-range quality but still clear and quite full being a dreadnought. I have another Fender acoustic guitar, the Tim Armstrong Hellcat (fabulous guitar IMO) with the same Fishman CD-1 Pickup/Preamp system (aka Paramount). Apparently, though Fishman tuned the pickup to optimize each of the body styles even though they look the same in terms of layout/controls. I use a Fishman Loudbox Mini and it's a killer 3 way combination, great guitar, pick-up, amp!! I really love the necks on both of the Fender acoustics in my collection, extremely playable and as comfortable as my Taylor and Yamaha! Of course all of this comes down to personal taste but I think Fender's done a great job with this guitar!
Different strings??? That is not really considered an upgrade! Strings have to be replaced regularly. Buy the gauge you need and want. You might have to adjust the guitar afterwards but not usually.
The one that looks the best to you. That will inspire you to play the most. I would think all are comparable. Look into getting a good setup and string change right from the start on any guitar.
Hi there Alamo Music. I would like to read your honest opinión between this Redondo player and the cd60sce, please. If a vídeo comparison is possible, tvat will be great. Best regards.
ill give you my honest opinion because I purchased both. Cd back in 2018 and Redondo this year. If you have the cd an you are thinking about upgrading, you will just pay for finishes and a very uncomfortable neck for Redondo. They are actually the same pieces they used for the cd but they saved some in the year of manufactured and sent them to indonesia already planned to be this experiments. Don't waste money, its just looks and cd is way more comfortable. The pickup is the same.
This is a review I read about the guitar you are recommending . It doesn’t sound very comfortable. First of all, this is a gorgeous guitar. It looks just great. It has a big, rich sound even moreso than other larger bodied guitars I've seen. The tuner works great. I love playing it. A few minor issues. First, I find the action high, & the bridge is not adjustable. 2nd, the complaints others have offered about the fret edges being VERY rough are entirely true: you can practically leave your hand bloody, I'm sure, if you play long enough, just from being roughed up by the fret edges. I'll try filing them down & refinishing them, as some have suggested. Finally, you'll want to get rid of the strings & go with a lighter gauge, partly to alleviate the high action issue. I'd get this guitar again. I think it is a $500 - $600 guitar lurking for only a little more than half that price. But before recommending it to a friend, I'd point out these couple issues
Caleb Navarro in terms of playability, this one has a very lovely neck. My hand just slides. Very good action out of the factory. I can play for hours without tiring my hand. The cc60sce by factory settings has a high action and thicker neck. In terms of sound, the redondo is a bit twangy and has a quite good resonance, and the sound is open. On the cc60, its a bit meh, but the cc60sce has a defined sound but not that loud, compared to redondo. I prefer the Redondo, because of the comfort of playability. Just the best acoustic neck I’ve tried. Very good for me as a beginner.
Compared to other guitars in the price range, Yamaha and especially Art and Lithuane, Fender’s acoustics feel much cheaper. I really do recommend Art and Lithuane guitars despite personally playing on a Taylor because of the quality and sound for the money.

RIP Dick Dale. He is the nicest guy hanging out with his fans
I have never heard an acoustic 6 string this chimey. In love with the attack. I just ordered one. Hope it plays as good as it sounds
Amazing!! Thank you very much for your excellent work❤ you helped me so much!
Was hoping to hear what the tone was like coming through the pre-amp as opposed to the external mic...
Just got mine in this green. I love it!
did you ever try the Martin Lx1?
What is the fretboard radius please? That makes all the difference to me.
Awesome color, I may have to get this.
Does the Natural version of the Redondo Player sounds even better than the other painted versions?
I'm a newbie still learning but want to upgrade from my Yamaha FS800 Would you recommend different strings?

As always,,,great demo. Thanks.
Just wanted to ask if there is wider fret spacing in this guitar, which help jazz guitarists?
The neck has strat dimensions
Cort Ad-810 Or Yamaha f310 or fender fa-125 ? Which one to buy? Please help me i am confused!

Nick Spitzley Why change strings right away? What if you like them? If it isn’t related to COVID-19, then that seems to be bizarre advice.
Are they made all in indonesia , or there are diferent craft places like in electric guitars?
Did this color get discontinued
