Same, he was so charming and all the previous villains where acting mean from the get go or dropped the facade early so. I wasn't heartbroken though, my excitement over the new world I got to explore was to great. I don't think we can be blamed for believing in him though. At least they subverted it with Musharna and Hydreigon in a later game. I don't think you should use a pokemon's type as a judgment in mystery dungeon. Even Gengar in the first one who was a jerk eventually came good.
I think my hopes got up because of Skuntank’s Gang, like Their gang were shitty and tried to steal from you constantly but they weren’t Evil by any stretch of the imagination, just your typical Jessie, James and Meowth situation. So I was like “Oh it’s not impossible to become super famous in Pokémon world I mean the player character is proving themselves quickly” and then..le epic betrayal. I killed Patches in Elden Ring the first time because I thought he was playing opossum when he started cowering. Ooops. I wont be fooled by Patches again, until the next game hes in.

Top it all off, he's voiced by none other than TIM CURRY! Even the most naive gamer at this point is going to suspect, "Hmmm.....this guy might be evil."
13:41 Okay, that Dracula entry needs to be in the list of Suprising transformations we didn't see coming. Why is my lovely shirtless vampire now a weird centipede dragon thing?
You can actually turn Parker to your side to help attack Marburg, the aging assassin you fight in Rome, by finding out it was Marburg who killed his daughter. If you earn Marburg's respect, he'll leave and Parker will be left to fight you alone. And if you get Marburg's respect and tell Parker the truth or point out a flaw in his logic? No Marburg fight (he will kill someone later for you) and Parker will disable the turrets for you. I actually got every possible ally in that game on Hard mode. I felt so god damn awesome becoming a one man charmer, turning the spy world against Halbec (and then taking Halbec for myself).
Ah, Dusknoir... The first videogame betrayal I've experienced and the last time I trusted a character blindly. Makes me proud that I had learned to read red flags from him though, since this saved me from the emotional upheaval of having any trust with Patches.
Dusknoir was one of my best mons in Shield. Her name was Big Momma and her bulky health with the curse debuff was a godsend against some tougher fights. Ill always trust you Big Momma ❤
Kreia from KotOR 2 belongs on this list, she spends the entire game hating everything you do, screwing with your other companions and tells you she's a Sith Lord like 16 times, then suddenly decides to betray you and become the final boss. Who could have seen it coming
Kreia is a very good option for this list! My mind went to Bastila in KotOR, but of characters from KotOR, Kreia is a better pick. At least with Bastila you can get her back, although I always forget what the dialogue options are for it and I always play as a female so it's harder to convince her. And I guess if you go dark side yourself it's kind of a moot point. 🙃 (Also can't remember who was on the prior lists for this topic either lol)
Not sure if it was brought up in the other two videos, but the 'child prince' in Diablo 3 was obviously Belial from his opening lines. The Lord of Lies being the worst at lying only getting as far as he does because Blizzard can only write when the player character is beyond stupid was very much on brand.
It is implied that your character figured out pretty early on the "Emperor Hakan" is actually Belial, and was just playing along. I mean, it IS pretty obvious, though Belial seems mildly surprised when you just casually call him by is real name. But then, the other villains aren' tmuch better - Azmodan is supposedly a master tactician, and everyone keeps telling you so, but all he does is keep popping up to tell you exactly what his plans are and where he'll be striking next. Instead of, you know, just attacking a weak spot without warning in order to actually have an effect before you have time to show up and stop him. But no, he's all like "Haha, you stopped my X, well, I have my Y instead!", "Oh, you think you're so clever destroying my Y? Well I still have my Z!". And then Diablo does basically the exact same thing in Act IV...but then he is part-Azmodan by that point, so maybe that's why :D.
I'm feeling quite pleased now that when I was fighting Patches in that bit of Elden Ring I semi-panicked and just kept on attacking and killed him. Sure, I missed out on some shenanigans (and was puzzled for a while as to why I had Patch's Bell, or whatever it's called, in my inventory), but at least I wasn't fooled even once.
I thought Mike coming back on to give us a commercial in the video was going to be another nice person turning evil bit, but it was an actual commercial! Betrayal!
I still can't believe that trusty old Patches betrays you. Every time. Sometimes more than once in a single game. Surely next time he'll have his stuff sorted out and be the upstanding pal I know he can be.
I don't know if you've covered this in any previous videos yet, but... I genuinely was surprised that Big Smoke betrays you in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Why? Well, apart from the fact that he's the first of the Grovers you meet, is the only Grover who is actually glad to see you back (unless you count Kendl), and you team up with him during Just Business, one of the most fun missions (IMO) in the early stages of the game, it was because it never occurred to me that there might be TWO Grovers who would betray you. I figured Sweet was going to get killed, leaving Carl the only surviving Johnson boy, after which Big Smoke and Carl would team up as the last two surviving OGs against Tenpenny, right after they blasted super-obvious traitor Ryder. Yes, Big Smoke moved out of the Grove. But I always assumed that was because his mission were harder than Sweet's and Ryder's so they wanted you to tackle them later. And yes, Sweet mentions that "you and Smoke" killed Little Weasel even though, not only do you attack Glen Park and kill L.W. by yourself, there are no missions where you team up with Smoke and have to fight ANY Ballas, but I just assumed that was due to bad writing. If you ever do a non-sarcastic list of betrayers, Big Smoke belongs on that one, and Ryder belongs on the next list of obvious ones.
In my opinion, I think that Patches is more useful alive rather than dead because the things he sells as a merchant can be useful like Morgott's shackle. He also sometimes has a role in other character's questlines.
The three of you were sooo good with the comedic timing of the facial expressions and body language, it was hilarious. Chef's kiss! Also "Putting the ass in Xardas'' lol Mike 😆
Nice to see Alpha Protocol on a list. Also, "mole in a spy agency" is such a tired old trope. I wasn't the least bit surprised when Alex Pester or whoever turned out to be a traitor.
Interesting we have ads in the middle of the perviously clean list videos, can't remember that happening in the past. Gamer Network's Q4 is really knocking on the door I guess. On the one hand we hope that our Oxbox pals are doing well, on the other we hope that we're not seeing another GAMURS Group style pressure on our favourite youtubers. If Jane, Mike, Andy, Luke and Ellen are doing well out of it then we wish them well......... if not, my finger is hovering over the subscribe button of your new independant channel. Lots of love pals
@@SimuLord 1000%! I moved from being a RUclips sub to a Patreon sub because Andy mentioned early on when they launched it that it was "the best way" to sponsor OX. I don't know enough about how the revenue shakes down but I liked to think that meant they, rather than Google, got more of my subscription money. Not sure how it all works out but as you say I'm really glad for Second Wind to be doing so well because they seem like a great bunch. I'd love love love to think that all our sub revenue was going in the pockets of the OX gang (including Johnny, James and Jon.) Who knows. F around and find out 🐴
I don't know if or when this kicked in, but there is a new RUclips policy that you can't choose when ads happen anymore as a creator? Could be wrong though, have done no research. Edit: never mind lol. Had not yet gotten to the sponsored portion of the video, thought you meant traditional ads

I don't think this vid was marked as "sponsored."
I would also add to this in favour of the commercial pressures recently that Andy and Mike did that Black Friday steam which was just pure shopping of OX merch and highlighting the affiliate money the channel was making from other products. As usual it was entirely watchable and fun from those lovely guys but to those who know the channel a change of gear pushing revenue generation. Thats not a criticism but maybe a sign. Again, just hope our friends at the channel are benefiting.
@@SimuLord oh yes sorry I absolutely wasn't complaining. Totally agree those videos are great and it doesn't bother me if they are sponsored, as I say I hope they are making a ton each. Please be open with your community about the money you need. Tell us how much we would need to crowd source to keep your videos ad-free. It is not worth what they are paying you to put in more effort and lower the quality of your videos. Just say the number we need so this isn’t the future of the channel. Love what you all do.
If I ever write a successful fantasy story, there's definitely going to be a character named "Evil Lord of Darkblood" or something like that who turns out to be the most loyal companion.
If I was Dracula and I was waiting for the absolute perfect time to ambush the vampire hunter descended from a line that had beaten me time and time again. I would probably do it in the middle of a random maze. Not the end of the game where they are at their strongest, most skilled and loaded with equipment. I also wouldn't have transformed in front of him and given him a ton of time to prepare. Maybe thats why I'm not a powerful vampire lord. I also own shirts and wear them sometimes. Though I suppose if I had abs like that I would probably not wear shirts either
I am thinking of many characters from the Legacy of Kain series that could fit in this video. In the first game, Mortanius the Necromancer resurrects you as a vampire in order to defeat the circle and heal the land, guides you through the entire game... and shows himself to be the final boss at the end, operating at the command of a host of baddies that have taken up residence within him. Through many of the series' games, Moebius the Timestreamer is helping you from time to time, but obviously reveals he had been manipulating you all along. The Elder One, Raziel's master, is also manipulating him for his own purposes (and Moebius also, by the way).
Cinder Carla from Armored Core 6. She keeps calling you "tourist" because you're trespassing on her territory, but she keeps opening doors for you. Why would you think there wouldn't be enemy mechs being deployed behind you? Or explosive canisters dangling above you? Or a super-sized mech with grinder arms as big as your own mech waiting for you on the other side?
Jane: "Are we sure this is suitable for kids?" Me: Did Jane not watch any 80's kids movies as a child? The Neverending Story? The Goonies? The Secret of NIMH?
I never trusted dusknoir but another pokemon mystery dungeon character that should be trusted is muuna from mystery dungeon gates to infinity and nuzleaf from super mystery dungeon
With Micah, the only question was how long he had been a Pinkerton informant. Was it since before the start of the game or after the gang returned from Guam.
I honestly think it was after they got back from Guarma. I know people talk about the white costume while everyone else is dressed in darker outfits as though Milton and Ross would make the, "Don't shoot the guy in white," deal but they really have no reason to honour their side of it; they wouldn't keep him alive and Micah has enough low cunning to know that he's of no use to them after they get Dutch. The Pinkertons would see it as better to wipe out the entire VDL Gang and try to claim the significant bounty that would still be on Micah's head in Strawberry, if nothing else; Micah would know this too. Plus... why would Micah even want to have the rest of the gang killed? Like all bullies, he hates being alone. Yes, he abuses those who he sees as lower on the totem pole than himself, but if he sees value in people then he very much keeps them around. He spends the game cosying up to Dutch before pulling his strings in the epilogue, he recruits new hired guns to the gang, and he fights alongside the VDL gang on many occasions, rather than just inflicting friendly fire in the middle of a shootout as he might do if he truly wanted to be rid of certain members of the gang. He's vain, cruel, and misanthropic - but he keeps people around if he sees a use for them and he hadn't finished with the VDL gang yet.
They tell you, in game, by even the Pinkertons, after they got back from Guama. However, the Pinkertons had an informant before him...who was it? Rockstar never hints nor even gives close to hints. So, it is an open question. And it wasnt O'Malley. They killed her off to mislead you. The reason I say there is another because they were setup before the start of the game. Rockstar never returns to that one though. Perhaps, if they do Red Dead Redemption 3, we shall find out.
@@StacieMMeier How much do the Pinkertons actually need an informant though? The only real reason we have to believe that the VDL gang is actually competent is because the story is told from Arthur's perspective. By analysing their track record, we see that the VDL gang are not all they're cracked up to be. Moreover, Angelo Brontë kept his position in Saint Denis by pulling up the ladder behind him, owning politicians and police chiefs, making sure that the likes of the VDL gang didn't have a place in Saint Denis. Isn't a tip-off from him (or one of his toadies) in the way of, "These lowlife bank robbers have infiltrated my town and it is mutually beneficial to us for you to get rid of them," considerably more likely than Micah walking into a firefight with the Pinkertons and assuming he won't be double-crossed?
In the literally-released-yesterday Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, the very first person you speak to is a shady spymaster named Kunrad Voigtvir. Everything about him from his voice, demeanor, and character portrait screams that he is going to betray you, and, surprise, he does within the first half hour of gameplay.
For once, I got a suggestion for a part 2: Spoilers for Persona 5 Akechi. The guy works with the prosecutor and the police to chase after you and your team, the Phantom Thieves, for months (in-game), even going on TV to say how much he despises you, only to suddenly change his mind and join you almost out of nowhere. Considering the game doesn't even try to hide there would be a betrayal at some point, as it's revealed about 10 minutes into the game that someone will sell you out, anyone who can put 2 and 2 together will know what's coming. Fortunately for Persona 5, Akechi being a traitor isn't the actual plot twist of that part of the game. The real plot twist was that the Phantom Thieves actually saw it coming and had a plan to pretty much Reverse Uno the treason.
I'm just pissed that Micah gets to die like a badass. Bro gets shots six times, walks for a bit, shrugs, then falls over. That's straight up main character death material.
Is Micah really betrayal? From the moment I heard his voice I knew it was gonna be me or him. I failed missions because I killed him for being a freaking idiot. At no point did I think Micah and I even shared a side. If I had it my way he'd of stayed in that god damn jail.
24:09 What do you mean? Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky are totally kid friendly. In fact, I daresay that they're the most kid friendly games in the whole franchise.
In Guild Wars 1 (Prophecies), there was an NPC named Vizier Khilbron who presents himself as one of your allies and the last survivor of an ancient kingdom that was wiped out. He needs us to go on a quest chain to find and give to him an all powerful scepter which he swears he'll use to help save the continent. Dude looks like a bad guy, sounds like a bad guy, and surprise surprise, it's revealed at the end that he was secretly a bad guy all along... and literally not a single player felt caught off guard by it. The only way any of us would've been surprised is if he HADN'T been a bad guy, and just had Jafar vibes for no reason...
I don't think I've ever been fooled by Patches for real, but I've still done the things to interact with him. Love the guy, and at this point seeing him appear in a new FS game is like a warm blanket after a long tiring day; comforting.
Patches actually does show up in Armored Core 6, or at least his broken mecha does. Once you find it, there's an audio log showing that he tried to trick the wrong group.
I'd go with Ryuzo from Ghost of Tsushima. He's an old friend of Jin's however that doesn't stop him from eventually turning on you to join the Mongels. He did it so that his men of the strawhat ronins are able to stay well fed since the Mongols are hoarding a lot of food, but still the betrayal did sting
Lenny the Lyre bird in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger! He’s a liar (ha! Get it?) throughout the entire level, you have to do the opposite of everything he says to progress, and yet there was some glimmer of hope when he says enter a room it won’t be an ambush and boss fight, very misplaced hope clearly
There was a game called Death Gate from 1994 that had a rather obvious "bad guy" who tells the player to go do stuff for him so he can, I don't remember, save the worlds? Only it turns out that he just wanted you to collect items so he could, again, don't remember, rule the worlds?
Rat God from Mad Rat Dead could potentially apply, considering how she shares the bright colour palette of the nightmare enemies, her very suspiciously sugary way of speaking and the one cutscene where it's implied that a group of street rats are lured into being eaten by a local cat because of her, which all ends up culminating in the reveal that she's actually just a clump of toxiplasmosis cells that've spent the whole game trying to get you eaten by a cat so she can continue living
I'm sorry, this is the third time and still no mention of Goro Akechi from Persona 5 or Director Ikutsuki from persona 3? Akechi throughout all of persona 5 was a detective actively working against the phantom thieves, and then suddenly he not only has the nav and an understanding of the workings of the metaverse, he also already unlocked his persona? Not to mention the things he says in battle. it's clearly suspicious from the get-go, the pancake line is just one of the many flaws he had made this whole time Ikutsuki, meanwhile, knows far more than he lets on, and purposefully distances himself from S.E.E.S. He's suspicious with a capital SUS.
In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia it turns out that the evil organization Dim Sun is secretly bankrolled by the CEO of Altru Inc, Blake Hall. Fooled me, despite him running an oil company, only wearing dark clothing, and how he constantly wears shades that make him look vaguely like Agent Smith.

I’d like to include the innocently-named Honest Tom from “Gun.” I’ll give you a wild guess as to whether or not he lives up to his name. Also: KotOR II’s Kreia is a wonderful example of this too. Except instead of being “surprised” at the betrayal from a lady named *Darth Treya*, it’s more curiosity at what her next move will be. It’s a great version of this trope that doesn’t annoy you, but rather intrigues you.
As soon as Dusknoir came on the screen, I knew things were going to go wrong because of it... I just didn't know HOW wrong. Also figured Grovyle had at least good intentions because of that.
Now we need a list of 7 characters you thought were going to betray you, but didn't. Tachibana from Yakuza 0 and Machiavelli from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood come to mind
Maybe we can consider Lorithea (Xenoblade Chronicles)? The Minister of Science in a weirdly scanty top piece, who speaks with a fairly creepy tone, two-times both Yumea and Melia, and is always being secretive alongside Alvis? ...Ah, but surely she couldn't be planning something horrific with her fellow High Entia. Right...?
Note that that's not even all the times Reinhardt has to be told. Between shirtless Dracula and even more shirtless Dracula another vampire hunter has to throw holy water on Malus just to make it truly sink in that it's not demonic possession, _Malus is just actual freaking Dracula, Reinhardt._

It will never get on any OX list i bet, but in the first Guildwars game you are helped throughout the story by the only survivor of a lost kingdome of Orr, a man called Vizier Khilbron. He looks nice and saves your life a few times... till he does not need you anymore and it is revealed that he did die in the cataclysm that destroyed Orr (that he started himself...) and is now an Undead Lich that wants to rule the world with the help of his new Titan army you helped him to unleash, oh and he wants to kill you as well. He seemed such nice and trustworthy person at first (apart from all the undead he was summoning at will :)).
Yeah, they seem really adverse to Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2, which baffles me when they constantly show WoW content, and have even touched on FFIV a few times. There's so much GW2 content that could go on lists. They're really missing out.
Man, I only played GW a while before I quit. You're telling me there's an MMO with a plot twist? We don't get that nearly enough. Imagine something that that in a game like City of Heroes and the servers would probably still be on because people would never feel comfortable turning them off again.

No Marburg fight (he will kill someone later for you) and Parker will disable the turrets for you.
I actually got every possible ally in that game on Hard mode. I felt so god damn awesome becoming a one man charmer, turning the spy world against Halbec (and then taking Halbec for myself).
Got to love Patches. We always know that bald weasel will try to kill us but we cant just help but to love him.
I think you mean stab him repeatedly at the first chance, i think.
Naaahhh can’t love a backstabber
Ah, Dusknoir... The first videogame betrayal I've experienced and the last time I trusted a character blindly. Makes me proud that I had learned to read red flags from him though, since this saved me from the emotional upheaval of having any trust with Patches.
Dusknoir was one of my best mons in Shield. Her name was Big Momma and her bulky health with the curse debuff was a godsend against some tougher fights. Ill always trust you Big Momma ❤
Big Momma would never betray you ❤ love me some bulky ghosties
"neck romancer"
mike remains at the peak of his game.
I absolutely support the Neck Romancer joke. Nice job, Mike.
A third part? Damn! Can't trust anyone these days.
(Also can't remember who was on the prior lists for this topic either lol)
Kreia is in one of the other videos on this topic. It literally says "part 3".
Precedes to sell you good stuff as a merchant.
Andy once again knocking it out of the water with the outfit. That is an exceptional hoodie and I am very jealous.
Yeah, Andy always has the best shirts and hoodies.
Next you guys should do the reverse. Villains who became unexpected allies.
I will now have the PMD town music stuck in my head all weekend. Genuine thanks, because it’s such a bop.
I really felt it when Jane said “Agent Mike Noooo” 😂😂😂😂
In my opinion, I think that Patches is more useful alive rather than dead because the things he sells as a merchant can be useful like Morgott's shackle. He also sometimes has a role in other character's questlines.
Yeah, but....
We really, REALLY want him dead.
The three of you were sooo good with the comedic timing of the facial expressions and body language, it was hilarious. Chef's kiss! Also "Putting the ass in Xardas'' lol Mike 😆
Honestly, the only reason Patches still lives in my Demon's Souls game is because he sells the better moon grasses, and I need those to stay alive
I straight up thought the "word from our sponsor" bit was gonna be a joke. Wasn't execting an actual sponsor read.
Nice to see Alpha Protocol on a list. Also, "mole in a spy agency" is such a tired old trope. I wasn't the least bit surprised when Alex Pester or whoever turned out to be a traitor.
Adam Palmer
I know everyone says this but I was a very very early sub [insert my credentials here like the Xbox One hangover vid blah blah] but if they could do a Second Wind I'd be so so happy for them.
@@sarahgent2674 no need to apologise, I'm glad of your input. I don't know enough about the mechanics of this and I'm lucky to have RUclips Premium which most people don't so that extra ad point is interesting to hear. Thanks I hadn't thought about that too.
They've given me so so so much.
I am just interested that they have done two new money making things at the end of this year, quite close together. Good luck to them, I'm here for all their vids.
First hour of the game is giving Micah too much credit.
Wanted him dead from the moment he opened his mouth.
Patches calling you a "Scheming Thief" is one of the richest things I've heard in my life
And that's the only riches you'll have after meeting him.
Glad you included Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on a list! Especially since I just started pkaying Explorers of Sky again myself (and discovered I could get achievements with RetroAchievements which was a pleasant surprise)
Went and watched Parts 1 and 2 from seven years ago, and it is incredible how consistent you three have been over the years
I was really hoping Jane was going to get Arnold Parker's name wrong again after Andy corrected her.
Honestly, Patches should be exempt from any shady character list only because at this point if you believe him, thats on you.
I see you missed the sarcasm. Every NPC in this series is are incredibly obvious traitors. Hence the Patches entry.
@ghostderazgriz no I got that, it's more the fact that Patches has been in numerous lists that honestly we've hit bed rock..if you don't know who Patches is and what he does after years of top 7 lists then that's on you. No sarcasm was missed, but thus lists has been done by them before
It's not that I believe him, it's just that I'm curious where his shenanigans will lead and I like bringing a little ray of sunshine into his life. His laughter makes it all worthwhile
Lsyanderoth?!
YES IT WAS I. FOR YEARS MY MACHINATIONS LAY UNDETECTED
FOR I AM A MASTER OF DECEPTION
Please be open with your community about the money you need. Tell us how much we would need to crowd source to keep your videos ad-free. It is not worth what they are paying you to put in more effort and lower the quality of your videos. Just say the number we need so this isn’t the future of the channel. Love what you all do.
Have you joined the Patreon? Step one on how to help.
The ad felt like part of the video. Obviously Opera GX will one day betray us, and OutsideXbox was trying to give us a heads up about it.
It IS Chromium-based, so it’s really just a matter of time.
I left Micah in jail for an incredibly long amount of time, and I wish I could've left him longer
"we consider ourselves a good judge of character"
So that explains how Jane got hired
Been in RDR 2 chapter 2 for months. Not having 'him' around is a blessing.
absolutely the best section of the game.
If I ever write a successful fantasy story, there's definitely going to be a character named "Evil Lord of Darkblood" or something like that who turns out to be the most loyal companion.
See also: Odin, Fire Emblem: Fates
Couldn't you make Alan Parker switch to your side when you tell him you're chilling with his daughter Madison? Damn I need to replay alpha protocol
With a name like Malus, you really should have seen that one coming.
"Dad?" had me rolling
Jane: "Are we sure this is suitable for kids?"
Me: Did Jane not watch any 80's kids movies as a child? The Neverending Story? The Goonies? The Secret of NIMH?
Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Popeye, etc., etc, etc…
I never trusted dusknoir but another pokemon mystery dungeon character that should be trusted is muuna from mystery dungeon gates to infinity and nuzleaf from super mystery dungeon
Lysanderoth should've been on this list
King Dragon sends his regards!
His machinations lay undetected for years, for he is a master of deception.
Those were the days...
Personally, I prefer Browsers to be safe and functional without any annoying blinking bits...
Oh hey it’s the My Pillow guy.
@@Taragoola Would you believe me if I told you I've heard that one before?
@@Michael_Lindell I’m sure you get it every day, mate. I’m so sorry. I couldn’t not. Your original point is sound.
For once, I got a suggestion for a part 2:
Spoilers for Persona 5
Akechi.
1000% agree about needing to know what a 2 or 3 hour drive'll make my back feel like before buying a car.
I miss being young.
oh alpha protocol. that belongs in the games locked to the ps360 era that deserve a remake. I loved that game, a kind of game we don't get anymore
Poor Patches, good friend Patches. Always gets bullied after being so friendly and helpful, always showing such great shortcuts and items
I mean, to be fair to Baby, ennard was just using her voice to lure you in, she herself can be interpreted to actually be protective of the player
This seems longer than most videos but I really liked the video and the length of the video. I can't imagine it was quick to edit.
It is. About 10 minutes longer than most of their content. Usually they only run for 10-15 minutes.
Alan Parker has the same voice actor as Raziel. Thats a plus in my book.
I'm so happy someone, ANYONE, mentioned Alpha Protocol
Whilst not necessarily a full betrayal, there’s just something about that Sea of Stars captain.
What really sells the cold open is James, the resident car guy, telling us like we're the ignorant ones
Not to mention the things he says in battle. it's clearly suspicious from the get-go, the pancake line is just one of the many flaws he had made this whole time
Ikutsuki, meanwhile, knows far more than he lets on, and purposefully distances himself from S.E.E.S. He's suspicious with a capital SUS.
As for good necromancers:
Necromancers in the style of Diablo or Garth Nix' s Abhorsen books are so fantastic
Malus also means hammer :P
In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia it turns out that the evil organization Dim Sun is secretly bankrolled by the CEO of Altru Inc, Blake Hall. Fooled me, despite him running an oil company, only wearing dark clothing, and how he constantly wears shades that make him look vaguely like Agent Smith.
And don't forget that his name sounds VERY much like "black hole". You know, something similar to Darkrai's Dark Void move?
I have another character from assassin creed mirage when you play quest for makirah ( her name in arabic means foxy or cunning) at first you think you doing fetch quests in order for her to look beautiful and you get her boss office key but when mission done turns out you actually helped her kill one of her Opposition and framed another
I’d like to include the innocently-named Honest Tom from “Gun.” I’ll give you a wild guess as to whether or not he lives up to his name.
I enjoy not having to sit through adds on ox-box videos. I will continue to support the channel but hope it's not a mainstay from now on
Surprised Ikutsuki from Persona 3 didn’t make the list.
He was in the first one of those, I think.
Zeno in Just Cause 3, the scientist who betrays General Di Ravello to join your cause and it later turns out is actually a double agent working for the general to feed him info about your rebellion.
How about 7 Shady Characters We Can't Believe Didn't Betray You.
I laughed entirely too hard at that Arnold Palmer quip.
Same. Though I was sorta waiting for Jane to call him Alpha Protocol, too.
What about Penelope from Sly Cooper thieves in time? She was once on the Cooper Gang's side in the 3rd game, but the twist in the 4th game of her turning on us still blows my mind
Poorly executed, wasn’t suspicious, and was basically the result of LeParadox’s scheme.
@@TylerTheShepherd Yeah. I agree that it was very poory executed. It was one of those twists that felt like it was just made to be a twist for the sake of it & shock factor
Honestly impressive that Mikah walked a few steps after getting his junk annihilated like that
I can’t believe XX_NoobSlayer_420 didn’t make the list for when he promised to enchant my armor for free in MineCraft.
In NG+, I was mid swing when Patches tried to give up, and ended up accidentally merc'd him because I was overleveled.
