I went to a parade called the Doo Dah parade(and it was a lot of fun) plus it was FULL of people like this, there were belly dancers on a truck bed shouting about abortions and our rights, there was a wrestler that belly flopped into an inflated pool(water went all down the side of street I was on) there was a person that gave clothes pins to adults and little plastic ducks to kids(the person almost gave me a clothes pin and I’m barely a teenager yet lol)

I was supposed to go to a celebration this year. It was cancelled for safety reasons. America ✨
my fourth was horrible. i had to go to a parade and im on vacation in a very conservative area. they had a republican float where everyone cheered. then the tiny pride float came through and almost everyone booed. my parents told me not to cheer for the pride float because they didn’t want me to get beat up. it was terrifying to be in a crowd of homophobes. i just wanted to leave but my parents wanted to stay so i had to stay. it was the fucking worst.

I've been crying for the past 30 mins over the fact that people with no humanity are in control, I just cant comprehend the fact that someone would feel the need to make others suffer in exchange for money and power. I might understand it when I'm older but I'm terrified of having to grow up in world where horrible things happen and the people that can fix it wont. I'm so scared...
it's a lot to take on emotionally. take care of yourself. remember, it's not all bad and optimism is important. there's a lot of good people like you out there ready and willing to make change happen.

Just wanted to give my take on this as a Lithuanian socialist as well - the education isn't as much propagandised to be fascist as it is filled with negative emotion. Mind you, people who develop our education system, specifically high school, lower or middle end textbooks, most likely have themselves been born in USSR or/and have family, who have very deeply suffered from USSR. So when such an authoritarian state calls itself communist + you have deep generational trauma spanning hundreds of years (because USSR mainly is seen as Russia, and the Baltics have a very difficult history with the state), you get very negative and politicised view of communism.
Now the fascist part - I myself have been thinking a lot with how Lithuania deals with the holocaust, and this is a theory I have rn - it's hard to accept that you're the villain when you also are the victim. Because Lithuania lost more than 90% of the Jewish population which were, btw, Lithuanian as well as Jewish (the record on Roma is unclear, but we do know that at least 500 were murdered), Lithuania has to grapple with that and AT THE SAME TIME work through the shitstorm that was USSR, which, again, was very bad. Not to the point of Nazi Germany, but still - bad. And we only had 32 years to do it. Actually, less, if you take out the period of literally creating a country, wild capitalism, extreme gang violence and very clear pro-russian corrupt government. So, we had around 20, less than 20 years, to process this.
So, as a Lithuanian, my words have to be taken with a grain of salt, but this is what I think of the situation. And this is an optimistic view of the issue. I think we can do better and are doing better, and will do much more. Young artists and voices are coming up, and they're doing great. I myself will do a bachelor's thesis on either antisemitism or discrimination against the Roma peoples, and I'm not the only one who cares and thinks about this.

Lucky for me, my whole neighborhood (except one person who got reported) doesn’t celebrate the 4th of July. Usually for every holiday we have a neighborhood party. But not today. We only had ONE firework and they got reported. My parents also don’t celebrate it. I’m glad to not be raised in a bad environment

22:39 First of all I would like to say yes I do agree with this and I don’t believe people should used a disabled bathroom just because it’s quicker or to vape because it’s really annoying and disrespectful, however in my country (idk about other places) they are called all access bathrooms most of the time, as a trans person I feel really guilty using labelled disabled toilets however I have a bladder too and drink lots of water and tea meaning I need to piss like most people do, gender toilets don’t make this very possible and that results in disabled/ all access toilets being the only option left for majority of trans individuals.
I think they were talking about disabled stalls in gendered corridor bathrooms, not single-stall family bathrooms. I know, I use those too. It sucks, but we can just take turns with wheelchair users if need be. I think the only thing you should be expected to do is let them go first if you arrive at the same time, since it often takes longer for them to get situated so they're on more of a time crunch. Same with pregnant people. But how often does that actually happen? I've never once seen a wheelchair user in any bathroom in my entire life. Point being, it's unlikely that a wheelchair user will arrive and attempt to access the single-stall family bathroom while a trans person is using it.

I'm so glad I found your compilation channel. For the past few months while I was unemployed I was delving deep into the news and it was killing me and my relationship. My poor partner would come home from a day of work and have to hear me angrily ranting about what I just saw and heard for a good hour at least before he had to go to sleep, like immediately after he walked in the door. And the comment sections...oh my cats. I'm not saying that listening to news or angry leftist youtubers doing video essays is bad, on the contrary, it's very important to be aware of what is going on in the world, but I was starting to feel really deflated and bitter and dare I say borderline misanthropic. Watching these tictok compilations has made me feel hopeful again and the comment section on this channel is amazing and helpful and loving. I have recently started a new "part time" job at a grocery chain for minimum and although they say I can only work 24 hrs a week, and only scheduled me for 10 hrs this week, i have been called in every single day for 8 hour shifts since i started 2 weeks ago. I refused to go in today (I am broke and literally cant pay my $35 phone bill so cant technically answer it, though I can see the calls coming in) and spent all day in bed watching these videos. Ive laughed, I've cried and been angry, but not so much that I want to curl in a ball and cry for 8 hours straight. This channel may very well be a sanctuary for me. Thank you. Much love.

And I really don't know how to feel, I have siblings that are pretty young and siblings who have never been vaccinated healthy (by doctor's standards) and living up to the teens and what makes me feel strange and not know what to believe is that I (one of the older siblings) have several allergies and mental health issues and was born in a hospital and many vaccines as a baby.

My father physically abused me throughout the three years I lived with him. I am 17 and living with a friend's family these days--thank you Ontario custody laws--and I haven't spoken to my father in four and a half years. This video, like all the other shitty jokes about child abuse I have encountered in that time, immediately brought back the vivid memories I had of my father telling me to stop screaming while he was hitting me with a belt. To this day, I still don't remember what he taught me other than fear. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the video was included because people who make jokes about terrorizing their children with the threat of violence should be called the fuck out. I just wanted to share that beating your kids doesn't teach them anything. I encourage anyone who is unsure to look for studies about spanking children and the negative effects it can have on those kids growing up and well into adulthood.

im not 100% sure but i think it has something to do with tattoos that were given to prisoners at aushwitz, someone please hijack this response i don't know that much about this either but i just want to help
people in concentration camps in wwii, including auschwitz, were given numerical tattoos to identify them as prisoners. it took away their humanity and alienated them. the stranger things tattoos are too similar to these prisoner tags, and it’s pretty antisemitic and incredibly insensitive.

oml i had the same thing happen to me not even a week back. (i'm talking about the autism video around 23 minutes in). I have adhd and maybe autism, im not entirely sure if i have it cause im not officially diagnosed bit i do have a lot of the symptoms but anyways back to what I was saying. Anyway not even a week back I learned that my grandpa wasn't doing too well so my mom and I drove four hours down to see him cause I didn't know how long he had left. So we're driving down there and im REALLY uncomfortable just being along with her because she always brings up how lesbians and connected to whichcraft are bad or other bull that only a cis-gender christian woman could brin up to her non-binary neurodivergent 18 year old who happens to be agnostic. So we're driving down there and so I had to put a town into her gps and after a little while we realize that the town i put in might be the wrong town(!spoiler alert! i was the right town) and she starts yelling at me and saying that i don't know how to use a map and shit like that, all while driving like cruella devil on tylenol. And i just broke down cause the grandpa we were driving up to go see was on my biological dad's side and i haven't interacted with any of my fam on his side for at least a year and a half, and i was already over stimulated because I just got off of work before we started our four hour long journey and was already crying. And even after we figured out that i did put in the right town she tried to suck up to me and say sorry. I didn't answer but now that im thinkin about it i wanna go punch her in her old arse face.

I think having a nostalgic and romanticized view of the past erases the hardship for minorities. would you really want to live in a time where black people had even fewer rights than they do now? and if you did live during whatever time in the past you like, would you, without thanks, work to help the black struggle for liberation as it's your dream to live in a less progressive time? would you not be ok or complacent seeing those atrocities committed against POC because you're so focused in your romantic ideal world of saying "tubular" or whatever it is that makes living in the 80s worth it?
