For their third retro collaboration with Jordan Brand, James Whitner’s A Ma Maniére is presenting their luxury-inspired take on the Air Jordan 2. At the time, the original AJ2 was designed with a higher sense of luxury - made in Italy, it deployed faux lizard skins, sleek lines, and famously had no Swoosh. But in the 35 years since the AJ2 debuted, our collective sense of luxury has expanded. Inspired by “Airness”, a commitment to greatness and excellence to uplift communities across the world and speak to the importance of unity and humanity, A Ma Maniére has crafted a new design language - showing no restraint in their embellishments while also pushing the silhouette's elegant heritage further.
To prioritize members who have tried to access AMM collaboration product in the past, the Air Jordan 2 x A Ma Maniére 'Sail and Burgundy' will only be released via Exclusive Access in the SNKRS app.

I love 2s, and I really love these. Most other 2 collabs are too… gimmicky for my taste. The reason why I dig these is because they actually LOOK like a Jordan 2, just with top flight materials and a tremendous colorway. Definitely my sneaker of the year so far!

These are the only Jordans I like anymore. I’ve grown out of retro sneakers and I’m looking forward to more futuristic and modern stuff. These to me most represent a designer sneaker.
I couldn't get any of them through A Ma Maniere's site and for the 2s I was online right when they dropped, clicked immediately, then flew thru "not a computer" images had my order done in 20 seconds and I was put in a queue. Then 3 mins later my size was sold out. Same thing happened to me on the 1s before. I just can't seem to hit on these ever... So I've had to pay resale for both the 3s and the 1s, and now I'm waiting for a decent price on those 2s. Such a frustrating hobby, especially for someone who really just wants to wear dope shoes, because for me these are just like those 3s... Shoe of the year status for me, for sure.
AMM 2 > Union 2, not to mention the disastrous online release on the Union 2s , probably the worst release ever in recent times.
You hit it right on the head when you said this thing is just luxurious. Craftsmanship is way better than your general release Jordans.
Ehhhhh I think the details are cool but the 2 silhouette just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe these would of look better if they were on a Jordan 4, 7 or maybe even a 10. Still 3>1>2
Bought it resell. Still waiting for my pair. Just a phenomenal looking shoe. This is the respect the 2's deserve. I love all three of the A Ma Maniére's s much.
But as for sneaker of the year; If the rumours about a A Ma Maniére 4 is true.... that one will probably be hard to beat.
These were executed so well... Definitely better than the 1's and absolutely a SOTY contender! These are the sneakers I've been most excited about this year.
These are absolutely beautiful. The Air Jordan 2 is my favorite Jordan model, and all of the colors and collaborations that have been releasing are really well done.

By far the maniere are sleek and not over the top so look good with jeans, shorts or trackies!!
I never thought I would say it, but I like the 2 better than the 3 or 1. The only thing I dont like is how the bottom white edge of the midsole enda awkwardly around the heel

Beautiful shoe, but goes against every reason I buy kicks- these are shelf pieces, they look awful on feet. As a shoe I wear on the regular the Union, AJ1 & Mili black beat this hands down.
