- Mint Fox is here to help you set up Visual Voicemail so your phone will transcribe your voicemails into text messages. Don't worry, it's easy as f*! (we said fox).
1. First, you’ll want to download any old messages you want to keep from a previous phone (if you just got a new phone)
Download them manually from your old device (refer to your user manual for exact steps)
Send them to your new device via AirDrop, Nearby Share, Quick Share, or just by emailing them to yourself
2. For iPhones, you just need to leave yourself a voicemail to refresh your Visual Voicemail inbox
3. For Android phones, you can see if Visual Voicemail is built in by going into your Dialer, tapping the three dots in the corner, selecting Settings, and then Voicemail
These steps can vary, so we recommend referring to the user manual for your specific make & model
5. If Visual Voicemail isn’t built in on your Android phone, you can download a third-party Visual Voicemail app from the Google Play Store. Just pick the one you like and follow the setup instructions from the app developer
That should do it for Visual Voicemail. Now you don’t have to pause your favorite song to check that message from Mom (she’s probably just checking in).

Fix it for Android. I have it built in my android but won't activate. Says I can still call though Serously. We should not have to use third part apps it's 2024.
Mint support tells me that Mint does not have Visual Voicemail and does not support it so why does this video from Mint exists.
Seriously can you just come straight out with proper support for visual voicemail and call recording on both Android and iOS.
Doesn't work on Android 14 Pixel phones (7a/7) using Google Phone App. It recognizes the carrier and has the right mailbox number set for mint, but gets stuck in "activating vvm" mode. Even if you force-stop and clear the cache, it doesn't work at all. Same loop. I had it working on my old 4a (running 13), but apparently no luck since migrating everything over to the new phone.
Same thing on T-Mobile prepaid using Pixel 5a and 6a. Mint uses T-Mobile's network, I believe.
Well that was useless LOL. It shows how it SHOULD be, but setting up the VVM function built into Android phones is hit or miss.
Sadly, none of this works. And the tech support team outta India doesn't know what to do. I mean they were trained how to activate phones when people started coming over. But they weren't given all of the training for keeping the customers when it comes to basic services.
Hey Mint can we have this feature back for Pixels?
Mint visual voicemail sucks, can't activate. Tried 6 times including with a reset from Mint mobile, sucks.
Doesn't work on my Pixel 8. It just says "activating voicemail." 😢
Visual voicemail quit syncing and working a while back and I didn't notice. I go to my phone settings/Voicemail and it says "Can't activate visual voicemail. Make sure your phone has a mobile network connection and try again." But my phone does have that connection. The visual voicemail toggle is on and it says "activating voicemail" but it's not activating.
I restarted the phone and that seems to have gotten it to sync again. The reason I didn't try that first is because I had just done an update recently and restarted so I figured if that was the fix then it would have fixed it already.
Nothing works for me. I went with Mint a couple of weeks ago and my visual voice mail does not work no matter what I do and displays the same stupid error message. It makes no sense.
These instructions are super vague and didn't work. It took me a week to get my phone activated with Mint. Had I known everything would be like pulling teeth, I never would have switched regardless of the savings. My phone has the same msg others have seen, which is "Sorry, this service is not available." This is bananas!
Hi Kim, super sorry for this experience. Please give us a call at (800)-683-7392 or chat with us online at www.mintmobile.com/chat/?chatbot-open so we can see what's going on.
Mint support has been useless with regard to fixing voice mail and call forwarding failures at Mint where the real world does not match Mint's documentation. @@MintMobile
so this doesnt work for iPhone to receive new visual voicemail correct???
The @MintMobile instructions are wrong for iPhones moved to Mint. In fact, Mint's voicemail is so broken that its voicemail does not even play my recorded name to callers. Conditional call forwarding to replace Mint's dysfunctional voicemail by forwarding callers to my business phone system is also broken. Mint's broken voicemail system always takes precedence.
My Voicemail has never been accessible, and there is no in-house app for mint visual voicemail, sigh
How does regular voicemail work with Mint? I am with one of the big carriers right now and considering switching. Does Mint have their own voicemail like the other carries? I really don't need or currently use visual voicemail but can find nothing on how regular voicemail works with Mint. Thanks
Thanks for reaching out. Our expert Care team is standing by and would love to walk you through this process. Can you please give us a call at (800)-683-7392?
I switched Over from AT&T and
Now I don’t have voicemail or a PIN number for it, I have the iPhone 12, help please
If you currently like having visual voice-mail, then I recommend staying with your current provider. You won't get visual voice-mail from Mint if your coming from a different carrier. They haven't figured out how to do that yet. And getting to your voice-mail at all through mint is a task of itself.
how to remove auto forward to voice mail? i can't receive any call
@mintmobile can we plz have this for pixels again??
How many voicemails can we keep before it is full?
Fantastic! Thank you for progressive news 😍
Mint, you f*cked up! Google, you f*cked up. WTF!You know what I've leaned on BOTH times my VVM broke (Ting and Mint), Google Fi. 🤔 Think about that.
It's so stupid that this is not sorted out after YEARS. Google blames the carrier, the carrier blames Google. Just FIX it!
Doesn't work on BYOD Samsung phones. Carrier unsupported.

Please get in contact with Google to fix this. Neither company wants to take responsibility for this broken feature.
anyone know how to deactivate voicemail account?
I only subscribed for Ryan Reynolds
Same lmao 🤣
@@mardisapril I unsubscribed because he wasn't in enough commercials
Forget Visual Voicemail, it stops working intermittently on my iphone 12 and every time I call Mint, they reset, and it still doesn't come on, except when it does, then stops again. Worst part of Mintmobile. Multiple people complaining on Reddit and there's still no consistent fix as far as I can see, Just people trying different things which may or may not work all the time.
Hey there, we're more than happy to look into your case. Just give us a call at (800)-683-7392 or chat with us online at www.mintmobile.com/chat/?chatbot-open and one of our expert agents will be right with you.
Mint sucks on Android. Avoid.
