The best Pokémon aren't the ones that are edgy enough to cut through steel, but the ones you can hug and read a good book with.
That's subjective, but I agree. Personally, I find the ones you can go through life with to be the best.
I actually found it odd that you brought up that your favourites weren't particularly good at competitive with Liligant, because in my own brief lapses with competitive Liligant was a one woman army, if only because laying down a sleep powder and layer caking quiver dances can make it 'nigh impossible to take her down because quiver dance is quite frank a godly move. Honestly, overall the lesbian flower has no real downside.
i think she means in over used as it is checked by many over the tier staples including but not limited to heatran ,latios to an extent, skarmory, ferrothorn, scizor, jirachi, breloom with mach punch ,dragonite, volcarona and even more niece pokemon like infernape, ninetails and can be revenge killed by mamoswine and weavile ice shard
I remember when I fell in love with Gardevoir as a must-have pokemon. I saw a bit of fan art that depicted a critically injured trainer with their Gardevior screaming in anguish while creating a black hole to throw at whatever hurt its friend. I then read the Pokedex for the pokemon and realized that's legit what happens. Never mess with someone who has a Gardevoir

Fricken YES Butterfree is my favourite Pokémon ever! The funniest memory I had with Butterfree is when I played Pokémon Eevee. It was a meh game but the best part was when I was able to train the most OP Butterfree ever (that I happily named Cupcake) with a dangerous combination of Sleep Power and Quiver Dance who took out FOUR Gym leaders by herself. She’s a very valid bug indeed.

Yeeeeeeessssss Ice is best type cause Ice is prettiest type. That's why I made a team full of Glaceons to troll and managed to stomp with it. 1 set-up Glaceon, 1 physical sweeper, 1 special sweeper, 1 tank, 1 support, 1 troll. It was actually hilarious to see it work as well as it did

gonna be honest, i was kind of shocked seeing no eeveelutions. i don't know why but ive always thought that glaceon, espeon, and sylveon really fit your elegant vibe.
Nidoking carried my ass through pokemon yellow as well thanks to his HUGE move pool
I will always be disappointed in any pokemon game without him and nidoqueen.
I will forever be mad at Gamefreak for not giving the nido monarchs a ground/fairy regional variant in Galar. It would have suited them so perfectly, made everyone stand up and notice them again, and I could have gotten a pair to call Titania and Oberon. 😒 But no, fire lizard gets the glory of being a Champion's Ace and a G-Max form.

I'm not surprised by Gardevoir and I can totally agree. She's always been one of my favorites and when she got made part fairy I only loved her more, Moon Blast for the win!

Wanting to catch/transfer in a Ralts as soon as possible is relatable as hell. I'm that way with Eevee in order to get my favorite Pokemon Sylveon in my game ASAP. Ever since X and Y I've had a Sylveon in my team and they've always absolutely slayed. Hell, Sylveon was the first Pokemon I ever raised to level 100.

Hey Lily, I appreciate how you choose your Pokemon! I like picky goofy/weird ones for fun! :D
I was always put off by Gallade for similar reasons, maybe I wouldn't have had a problem if they'd let female Gallades be a thing. However, I did begin to respect Gallade a little bit when I heard that some trans-male fans identified with him (though the elbow-blades are still kinda silly).
I also first thought Salamence did feel a little too close to a rehash of Dragonite, especially when we already had Metagross. But Sun & Moon letting me catch a mother Salamence on Route 3 made me warm up to the 'mon quite a bit, even if she took like forever to show up.
You know I do like a lot of the "edgy" and "cool" Pokemon, such as Blaziken, Lucario, etc. But my favorite pokemon are the Mudkip evolution line (I have a cute little water dog that I can ride on when it's fully evolved!) Gardevoir, and Quagsire. So I guess cuteness and friendship really do prevail over all.
Gardevoir is valid, especially since she reminds me of an important life lesson:

I adore Mightyena. He's just a bigger awesome doggo version of poochyena. Gotta have Vulpix, kinda has my mom's hairdo from when I was a kid and it's majestic as fuck evolution Ninetails. Eevee and pretty much all it's evolutions especially Vaporeon. Vaporeon just rocks that adorable frilly collar and she's hands down my FAVORITE eevee evolution. Ever since that one episode ash got to ride an Arcanine, well that was pretty much it for me. Basically if it's a pupper, doggo, or fox looking pokemon I'm in.

My favorite and go to was my Ducklett turned Swanna
Not because I thought it was a powerful amazing Pokémon because I don’t even think Ducklett and Swanna are really that popular it even that strong on their own
But I loved my Ducklett because she was a cute little babu and she became my go to
And then I evolved her to a Swanna and now and has been for a long while, my Swanna is a level 100.
Honestly I love spamming teater dance with lilligant and then bulldozing with petal blizzard. Extra points for when you baton pass your buffs into it.

Omg I thought I was the only one that tried to beat Brock with my Pikachu in Yellow before catching a Nidoran Male. My number one spot would be Latios/Latias because I think they are just as cute as Butterfree imo.
Besides Bulbasaur, my fave is either Diglett or Vicavolt.
Diglett because of the sound-song it made in that episode in the anime (plus I find the what’s under Diglett theory funny cause it’s just a mole).
Vicavolt because it turned from taser, to battery bendy-bus, to a railgun.

My favorite is Shuppet/Banette, my first Shiny Pokemon when I didn't know what Shinies were. I will play my old Gen 3 games with a Shiny Shuppet at my side.
