Not gonna lie, when you first posted about this being in black and white I was a little skeptical. I chose the "I would need to see more" option because I was worried it would just be a "gimmick", so to speak. But I was pleasantly surprised!
Paired with the - as always - godly soundtrack and superb writing and narration (huge respect for the VA), it actually sets a really moody tone. Though it would probably help if the in-game footage was taken at dawn/dusk, if that's even possible. That could create a really nice contrast between shadows and highlights as opposed to how it is now, with especially the ground being just a little overexposed. But that's ultimately a very minor nitpick.
Getting to some more substantial critique, what i did find a bit gimmicky were the smoke/splash effects during the fight itself. In the intro and outro they look fantastic, but further into the episode, they're unnecessary at best and somewhat distracting at worst. I also didn't really like the cut-away from the fight scene with the wide, bird's eye, establishing shot. There's a place for that and they work really well in the actual establishing segment of the episode, but in the middle of the fight it actually lowers the tension and disrupts the continuity.
But, if you ever stumble upon this, don't ever let these admittedly minor points of criticism discourage you! You're doing a fantastic job already, I'm merely offering some probably questionable advice to possibly help you make it even better. Stay safe and have a great evening! :3

I think torvosaurus was actually smaller than allosaurus, in the morrison formation at least. It was bigger than allosaurus europaeus in Europe, though.
@@dillfunk4894 incorrect, Allosaurus fragilis was dwarfed by torvosaurus tanneri despite what the media has told you, T.tanneri can reach 12 meters and 6 tons while fragilis only reaches 2.7.
Torvosaurus was the apex predator where ever it was, no allosaur would challenge it in a 1v1. If the sea never receded it probably would of lasted as the apex of the Morrison, Lourhina and many other formations for very long.
The European Torvosaurus species, gurneyi is also actually smaller then Tanneri. Only 10.8 meters long and 3.8 tons which is still much larger then A.europeaus.
This new aesthetic choice is really impressive but also clever as it allowed you to easily add the real life shots without compromising the realism of the dinosaurs models.
I do have a little bit of criticism though, the story is really good and uses events that we know occurred in the Morrison formation such as the drought periods, but it’s the use of Ceratosaurus that I’m not really a fan of. I’ve grown a bit tired of seeing this animal being simply a pushover to introduce Allosaurus when, the difference between the two wasn’t that huge, especially considering how different they are in terms of body shape, Ceratosaurus being pretty robustly built whereas Allosaurus was comparatively leaner. I don’t think of Allosaurs as the apex predator of its environment but rather as a medium sized one. I would compare these two in today’s world as a wolf or a coyote for allosaurus and a wolverine or a honey badger for Ceratosaurus.
Here’s what I would have wrote : a young female allosaurus is searching for a place near a water place to lay its eggs, the extreme drought has made the search particularly difficult for the gravid female, she finally finds a small lake but stumbles upon a couple of Ceratosaurus, the female protects its eggs while the male try to intimate the intruder with its horns and showing off its body, hissing and growling like an alligator. They judge each other, keep their intimidation contest but don’t attack each other as energy as become an extremely valuable ressource. The male Ceratosaurus finally drives off the allosaurus female which eventually finds a place to nest and rest. No fights, no blood, just animals being animals.
I would have added maybe an old sauropod which could die of exhaustion and become source of food for both predators similarly to when a whale dies and thus feeds every predator nearby.
Aside from that you know how I feel, this episode was, as the rest are, incredibly well edited and directed. I really enjoy the Black and White style, it gives it a more cinematic, dramatic feel to it.

it just blew my mind.... how beautiful & accurate representation. I love the way Ceratosaurus's hand is positioned .The at most accurate representation.
Now i completely understand why u choose black and white instead of color. It gave an astonishing Kool look and also we dont know the exact color of these beasts. All we do is speculations. Hence keeping them black & white makes ur documentary more accurate and real. ......... will wait for next and all episodes

I really enjoyed the original opening and the closing credits too! While the b&w was something different and dramatic, I still think I enjoy the colored videos best. Either way, great work and thanks sharing your awesome artwork.
Very well made. I thought I would not like it in B&W but it was actually great. Tone it down with the ink splash effect though it gets cheesy if you use too much.

The title sequence is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! The B&W really works here. And I really love how the two theropods give off completely different vibes, the rough, big-headed, dragonesque charm of Ceratosaurus contrasting with the more birdlike and streamlined Allosaurus.

Dinosaurs speed can only be estimated, we cannot know the exact maximum speed of theses animals. Allosaurus' varies from 30km/h to 50km/h
