I have never heard a Mozart piano concerto that I did not like because they all soooo melodic and inspiring! THANK YOU, Mozart , for bringing such musical joy to our World!!
Brendel's recordings of the Mozart Piano Concertos have a mix of elegance, virtuosity, subtle tones and colours and a touch of spontaneity, which I haven't heard in any other performer. The orchestra complements this perfectly, the balance of the interaction between orchestra and pianist is as good as you will ever hear ! Not surprised this set of recordings won international awards.
This rendition of Mozart by the Master Pianist Alfred Brendel and not forgetting of course the brilliant St Martin in the Fields Orchestra is just superb. I love Mozart's piano concertos and Alfred is one of the best. Thanks so much for posting this.
A perfectly mature version of this concerto, which does not raise any mood other than a pacified calm and joy. To be warmly rrecommended. This is true for both the soloist and the orchestra.
The best mixture of stability, self-control and a bit of playfulness. The sound quality of the Philips label was probably the highest in the late 70's.
One of the most enchanting and delightful masterpieces of music of any type ever given to humankind. Beautifully played by AB, beautifully played by the orchestra. This particular recording on vinyl, clicks, pops and all sounds exquisite. I compared some newer hi -res recordings that give tons of detail. Not one comes even close to the beautiful sound and ‘rightness’ of this recording. As a young lady told me not too long ago, ‘i DON’T LIKE IT ... pause ... I LOVE IT!!
The andante belongs not the this world but to eternity. It was in the ether at the dawn of time. Mozart was the bridge that brought it to planet earth.
I can get high on this. That crystalline purity is so engaging. It DOES seem impossible that something could be this gorgeous. If someone ever discovers that Mozart was some kind of interplanetary "link", I wouldn't be at all surprised!

No 15 - one of the most perfect and uplifting of all Mozart's piano concertos.
This concerto is one of my favorites. Joy is heard throughout. I need joy, the world needs joy.
My sentiments exactly. Happy new year.
Amazing what we humans are capable of. In the bad as in the good.

Great observations... I agree completely. Regards

Wonderful; nothing else; no words are enough to describe Mozart: a masterpiece of God
Love Mozart for ever and ever.

Marriner and Brendel's fine performance! Thank you

The best Mozart you will ever hear! Thank you David!
what a superbly sensitive and detailed reading of this concerto.
and I've just realized that unfortunately my nose is similar to Mozart's!
Lucky you
Wish Mozart could hear this...
He does
Het Andante , zo mooi , zo teder , alsof de wereld even wordt stilgezet om hem beter te bekijken hoe wonderlijk alles is .
Such a beautiful piece of music played so brilliantly. Thank you.
what a fine recording!
Pure joy ~ thank you !
Beautiful ! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!!

1979 a vintage year for AB. What a talent/

Is wohl wieder der Plattenspieler schuld?
DELIZIOSO!!!
לא נעים לומר , בהעברה מהתקליט הפכו את ערוצי שמאל ימין
