Love the history of the car and I love that I learned something new about single stage paints from back in the day. 👍 Never get tired of learning from you sir! 👍
Got the boss wagging approval looking happy and being awesome, a beautiful classic and my detailing idol behind the tools. Yep, this is the good stuff. Thank you B! 👍👌✌
First, the car is awesome. Second, you are awesome. Or vice Versa. Either way. Thank you so much for taking the time to show everyone what detailing and expert paint correction is like.
I Was Born in 62' lol ! one of my favorite car of that era! Just like your 74 Vette, wet sand then polish ! Awesome to see the difference in combo choices! ;-)
Rotary polisher, wet sanding, never mind the stress on the paint I was stressed out watching that praying nothing would go wrong, but then I thought, it’s Brian. What am I worrying about! Great video 👍🏻🇬🇧🇨🇮
Hi Brian, I'm loving it & the car and what I wouldnt give to have that sensational piece of art in my man cave for a couple of weeks giving it some serious TLC. Gotta smile, Ive been sat here trying to remember the last red car who's paintwork Ive returned to life, ouch 13 years ago, so its about time I found one in need,, Looking forward to seeing much more of that simply gorgeous work of art !!
Beautiful, red corvette. Can’t wait to see the finished product. I imagine gloss deep enough to dive into the paint. Even the dog decided not to pee on the tire while walking by!!
Awesome showing us the difference in the wet sand! I wish you could do a video on wetsanding and correcting gel coat on a boat. I did my bass boat and it's a bitch. Sometimes I'd think I had it perfect only to wipe with ipa and boom.... Wetsanding marks.
This era (1961-62) is my 3rd favorite behind the 1956-57 and the greatest cars ever made...the 1963-67 Coupes🔥🔥🔥 Looking forward to this series Brian, this was late Dads favorite and he owned a 66' coupe brand new, $4200....imagine that😅
I detailed a fully blacked out 56 restomod, one of the coolest cars I've ever seen in person. Pure black 99 paint, and really subtle black chrome trim. That thing was otherworldly beautiful. 😲😍
@@klasseact6663 scallops were basically gone. Body color, with their trim removed. The rest of the trim was black chrome. The interior was all black, except for sewing thread was a subtle dark grey French seam.
Long time no see, shop manager! I prefer the C3 myself, but can’t go wrong if shop manager approves! Important thing is the owner is going to drive it!
I grew up around all of these cool cars so I love this video. I was wondering if you were going to wet sand a second time with 5,000 grit or higher sandpaper. Amazing work as always and a great video.
Brian, complete newbie here with a question. What did you use to clean up/wipe off the first coat of compound, between applications ? Just plain water or something like a panel prep. Just a week-end warrior, and get confused easily. I really appreciate all your videos and just when I think I learned something, I see more ways to complete the task and thats when I get confused. I think I have bought every product available, and I only have one car. LOL. Thanks again for you videos.
Fantastic vid B. I noticed in the first section u used a compound and a finishing polish. But on the second one u only used 3D cutting compound and not finishing polish. Can I know why? Thank u
Nice Brian!! But do you always need to wash old classics with a rinseless washers even if you just restored and old 60’s classic with all new glass seals? I just restored my ‘67 and the seals are watertight (for now) when I use a snow foam/hose bucket wash. Thanks for clearing that up. Best Regards
I'm just starting out and would love if you could give me some advice on setting my pricing. If so could I send you my list somehow or could you contact me? Thanks!
I know for a fact I’ve been subscribed to you for a long time and I just saw today it says I wasn’t and I re subscribed I wonder how that could have happened ?
God that would scare me . I have no talent to pull that off on a car of that caliber. Maybe 2 cases of Guinness and Tool or Metallica on high volume I could have some courage...lol
Hello brian, I'm new to your channel and I value your content. I recently purchased ceramic ultra slick detailer by Sonax, and would like your recommendation on how to apply it.
What a nice video to start a new mini series, look forward to seeing the results 👍👍👍👍
Loved the historical intro! Great vid and looking forward to this series!

Awesome! I had a 62 Impala SS. Here we go!! :-)
These tutorials are very interesting. Thanks for sharing your expertise. What a cool car to work on. Looking forward to seeing the next video ✌️👍☮️
Oh yeah... looking forward to this series!
Correction Brian, your big improvement equals perfection every time
I'm not sure about anyone else, but Brian's vids encourage me to pick up a rotory and master that sucker.
Thank you Brian!

Love classic cars Brian myself. Good looking car that the Boss is even checking out the awesome car.
Wow! I wasn't expecting the 3000 grit sanding to be so effective. Every day is a school day.

I was hoping to see more on the Miata, but this is not so bad a consolation ;)
Can’t wait to see this when you are through.
Love it!! Looking forward to the next installment.
I freaking love this channel.....period!!!
You must have been in heaven working on this! Lol. Gorgeous car, beautiful job!
I am!
Those are beautiful car before detailing.
They made some sharp buggy’s back in the day, lines, curves,Chrome.Todays machines are far cry from that.

Look at the body gaps on the fuel filler door.
My neighbor's nephew designed that car for GM.

Great series Brian. Can't wait to see how this gorgeous vette turns out.
I knew this was gonna be a great video when the shop manager gave this an 🆗️.
Sanding stage seems to be quicker and cost effective. Love the car!
Perfect timing, got a client with same car
Long time no see, shop manager!

I figured you would have tried Knockout on a 50/50 pad.
Another option...yes..
I love these videos! Keep up the awesome content Brian!
63 split window for me 😜
Brian, any chance you could do a video on paintless dent repair? Perhaps remove some minor door dings from a test panel.
I put your request on the list.
Nice ,nice apex..
Loving the 1st video
LOVE IT!!
Great teaching sir. What compressor is powering the Rupes polisher ?
Wow! I can't believe a compound & rotary couldn't tackle those swirls. That's pretty weak. Maybe try the Wizards with a wool

No need...a polish will clean up those sand marks no sweat.
This is gonna be fun 🤓
i am still afraid to wet sand my head light. I need source practice panel. Thanks for the video.
Why did you not tape the edges of the trunk like you did on the C5?
Explained in today's video.
This is may favorite Corvette!👌👍
Foam sand pads on 2nd section - can you elaborate - guessing 3M Trizact Hookit P3000 but would like to know for sure.
Where is the 1st?

Just plain water. I dont like using IPA or panel prep right after running the polisher.
Do you like 3D cutting products over Menzurna?
Absolutely.
Fantastic vid B. I noticed in the first section u used a compound and a finishing polish. But on the second one u only used 3D cutting compound and not finishing polish. Can I know why? Thank u
The first section a rotary was used. it can get rather messy.

I dont like taking chances with older delicate interior materials.
Hello Brian, how would you compare the ACA 500 against 3D One and Menzerna 400 as a compound?

For maintenance...sure.

Spray onto slightly damp microfiber, not directly onto panel, evenly distribute, buff to perfection with fresh microfiber.
