@@alphaenterprise2232 that would be Alexander Brandon. He also made lots of Unreal tracks which contributed heavily for the awesome atmosphere of Na Pali.
Didn't find this game on his imdb credits though.

the whole "multiple choices" gimmick with this trailer is exactly what Immersive Sims are all about.
Except in _good_ immersive sim it's never _this_ cookie-cutter.

The music is just so Deus Ex, love it
It even has the modern Deus ex vocal riff at the end of the music! And he has the JC Denton style voice! This is epic!
Been waiting for this trailer for a long time now. Was afraid that the whole project was cancelled. Looks so much better than anything in previous trailers. And the music is icing on the cake.
I'm loving the clear original Deus Ex inspiration. One thing though. Deus Ex isn't just a classic RPG/Immersive Sim, it was also a clever examination of Political ideals. It raised plenty of thought provoking questions, provided compelling points of views, and made me question what the best government is. Will Core Decay come close to Deus Ex's writing?
I won't expect THAT much. As I've yet to have seen any other videogame in other genre get into that sort of cold, behind-the-curtain deep-dive on things. That it's not just about "the politics", but on exploring the mechanisms of politicking/how things work and came to be. Especially with the 'climate' today, where we either don't address it, or we 'address it' by painting a parodic caricature of the issue/antagonist for the player to deal with.
I'd temper my expectation and just expect enjoy the gameplay...would be a pretty neat surprise if they could pull the same thematic/narrative/worldbuilding feat though.
Not without Sheldon Pacotti, it won't.
I believe people should expect some deus ex in but not that deep, also I think the theme is more about ecology which is fine and in the time of today.
As for the gameplay, it shows some possibilities, but I don't think it will be as good as deus ex even if some elements seems to be more polished at some point, at least for the combat. The rest needs to be known though.
I don't even think the original deus ex sequels came close to the original when it comes to the story at least.
DX 1 was about conspiracies and they gave you some sci fi to surround it.
DX 2 was about star trek in the real world.
DX 3 and 4 was about saying yeah we love Deus Ex but we want to make something else and talk only about augmentations...

My thoughts exactly! I'm _sincerely_ hoping it'll be good on release. But for an indie team tackling a game like this, I'm filled with as much skepticism as I am nostalgia for a Deus Ex-style game that doesn't take the HR/MD route.

Looks pretty nice. But also, this trailer is very good. It shows the many ways you can approach a situation, which is a core element of imsims but is hard to show in promotional material. Good job whoever did the trailer.
