Penn State was robbed of a claim of the national title that year. Thanks for uploading! Enjoying these yearly recaps.

I can’t thank you enough for uploading this, the 1969 and 1973 videos. My father had these on VHS in distinct blue plastic cases, and would always play them in the car for me growing up while driving up to games. This takes me back.
Thank you again. Hoping for a great season this fall.
Just need to see the 1971 video lol.

I remember the blue plastic cases well. I had a few early 80's PSU seasons on Beta tapes in those cases. Only parted with them recently. I think I've uploaded about 30 plus Penn State season highlights but 1971 has eluded me. Some good news though in that I have stumbled across the '72 Cotton Bowl highlights that I believe may have been a part of that '71 tape. It's about five minutes or less of stylized footage that chronicles the victory vs Texas. I will post it in the very near future.

Penn State was robbed of a claim of a national title in 1968. Ohio State staked claim as the nation's top dog in college football that season, and yet that '68 Ohio State and Penn State aren't even Big Ten Network's Big Ten Elite. I hope that the Big Ten Network finally airs Big Ten Elite:1968 Ohio State football and 1968 Penn State football

Fun Fact: JoePa in the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia (published in 2005, so take of it what you will) said that this team was the best team he ever coached up to that point as an HC or assistant at Penn State.

I love that encyclopedia. An incredible accumulation of info. JoePa certainly had lots of great PSU teams to choose from.
