Won't happen: knockoff brand already released in the last 1/2 years versions both of the Jesko and of the Gemera. Unlicensed, of course, but I doubt lego would be making a product which have a direct competition and comparison. Yes, they'd be selling more, but that's not the point. The point is that the community would have a comparison, and LEGO would expose itself to people directly comparing it aesthetically and functionally to knockoff brands, that's why in the past years they picked recently released cars, or even not yet released cars (like the Daytona and the Sian), to be sure that no competition would be present at the moment of the launch

    1) I have a feeling, that the new 1:8 model would be from Pagani. Looking that, Pagani and Lego made a first collaboration in Speed Champion line. Would be cool to see some breathtaking models like Pagani Zonda R, with that crazy big wing, or something from the newer models, like Huayra. Pagani cars, sometimes, look like out of this world and when you look at it, you know it is Pagani. For Mclaren or Koenigsegg, yes they are also, cool and all, but some sort of "cherry on top" is missing. It is simply a guess. We will see.
    2) Dream model, I'm a Muscle car and JDM car lover, but I don't think that LEGO will make 1:8 scale 1969 Chevelle SS or "VeilSide" Mazda Rx7. However it would be cool to see some legendary real race cars, for example from "24h of Le mans": Mazda 787B, or some variant of original Ford GT40, something like that. Maybe don't take track cars, take different racing, like rally. Would be awesome to see 1:8 scale legendary rally cars from famous "Group B". Yes there was Audi Quatro, but hey... there were a lot of crazy models who, still in this day are legendary.
So, yeah, that's kind of it.

It's an older car but a Dodge Viper GTS would awesome to have at the Technic 1/8 Scale. It would need to have an engine, gearbox, steering and such. It would be interesting to see if they can do all of that with a front engine car as the past ones have been mid-engine.

I would honestly like the yellow Lotus like a lot as yellow is the color that is missing from the previous cars, and it will look awesome next to the red ferrari, orange Porssche, yellow lotus, green lambo, and the blue bugatti, and it will look like a wonderful hue.

I could see Lego do a great 1:8 scale version of the current Corvette Sting Ray in a canary yellow. It would make since the Sting Ray is now Mid/rear engine design like most of the other super cars in the line and yellow is the only primary color that hasn't been used as yet. An Aston Martin Vanquish would be another great choice, though yellow isn't a traditional Aston color. I would love to see Lego go an alternative route and do a Rolls Royce Phantom, Silver Spur or perhaps a boat tail coupe. If not a Roller, perhaps a Bentley Turbo....For features...Chrome pieces would be amazing but I'm guessing the manufacturer process could get expensive and the chrome coating may still flake off... :(

    1) My guess would be the AM Valkyrie, but I'd rather see the Valhalla if they're going with AM. I like McLaren, so I'd be happy with something from them.
    2) My personal choice of supercar is a Maserati MC12 in original colors, but there's already a great looking MOC out there for that. As a 2nd choice I like another poster's suggestion of the Alfa Romeo 33.
    3) I don't know what I'd pick for functions. I think if they did a e-car then a proper rc kit for it would be smart, but I think that would make the 1:8s even more expensive than they already are.

I'm honestly hoping that they choose a hybrid supercar (like the corvette e-ray (yes the corvette is a supercar)) for this year. if they stray from the path of supercars, then I'm hoping that they choose something iconic from the last century rather than something brand new. No matter what though, it's gotta have more functions. The more faithful to the original, the better.

Honestly I think we are more likely to see either a pagani, koenigsegg, or aston martin. The models I would love to see would be the, hauyra r, jesko, jesko absolut, gemera, or a valkyrie. My dream 1:8 would be any pagani, probably a zonda r but I would love any. The main reason I would like to see a pagani is because of the shifter in pagani's. The shifter itself is a work of art and I would enjoy seeing lego recreate that.

A Valkyrie would be super cool, the real car uses hydraulics for the suspension. Plus it has underbody active aero surfaces. Both systems could be modelled using air pistons. However, considering the insane packaging of this car I doubt it... if they make it the build would be amazing. Aston Martin is committing to join the hypercar category of the world endurance championship. This could be a great way for them to market this return to the top category of the 24h of Le Mans.

Really hope it will be the LaFerrari successor F250. Super exclusive car, good marketing for both Ferrari and Lego, and sales boost for Lego. Though they just did the SP3, but one can hope. Another possibility is AM Valhalla, scheduled for production in 2024, perfect timing, new brand in the ultimate series. Another less likely possibility is the successor to McLaren P1.

curveball here, the aston martin valhalla. it’s basically a baby Valkyrie, and looks great. as for color, id have to go for yellow.
if i could have any car at all, it would either be a koenigsegg ccx or gma t33/t50
functions would have a lifting deck lid, roof that could be stowed in the frunk, doors that do the koenigsegg thingy, and a six speed. as for the gma, if it were a t50 it would have the fan that produces downforce, the butterfly doors, the v12, and also a six speed.
lego would most likely not do either of those two cars, but the valhalla is pretty likely imo.

I see Lego making a BMW or a McLaren 1:8 set since they've made a few McLarens already and there are some upcoming BMW Speed Champion sets. I'd love to see an Audi R8 or any Pagani, since they're both dream cars of mine, but that won't happen. The typical features are what I've come to expect. Opening doors, opening front/rear, working steering, working engine, etc. Maybe add in some fancy bags and as little stickers as possible.

realistic thought would be a mclaren senna or a pagani huayra bc
dream car in 1:8 aston martin valkyrie
functions: moving pistons, gearbox, if the original car has it 4ws or 4wd, active aero, opening parts (if the car has scissor or gullwing doors a mechanism to open and keep them up), adjustable height and stifness of the suspension

  • @janhes141
    @janhes141 9 месяцев назад

    1. I still think there is a chance its gonna be Audi R8. I really wouldnt like mclaren, we already have the Formula 1 car and the Senna gtr, even tho these are in smaller scales.
    2. I would absolutely love to see either some 1:8 BMW race car, or, but this is just my unrealistic dream, a Class 1 car in the 1:8 scale. Imagine the new Honda Civic type R-GT 500! Would be such a fun build, could implement working DRS etc.

Back when Chiron was released I was hoping they would've done the trio: Chiron, LaFerrari and P1. But then it pushed Sian and Daytona SP3. Barring the 911GT3, which was clearly a test-the-water product, I think the aim of this series is clear, exotic and a lot of cylinders. The biggest possibility would be Pagani with some kind of limited release of Huayra, or Solus GT (if Lego can make it out in this short amount of time).

odd, I subscribed a long time ago but it just now noticed I somehow wasn't anymore.
I would love them to maybe redo the 42056 porsche in 2026, which would be the one after the upcomming one. That would mark the 10 year anniversary of this line-up so it'd be a perfect opportunity for them to show how much they have improved.
The only thing I miss from the newer supercars, that I personally only think the porsche got right is the individual pedals to switch gears. The current setup moves both at once which I prefer less and feels cheaper.
I would also love for them to add the option for a hand of god stearing knob on the top, that can be easily removed as they already do in smaller scale sets.
The return of the lamborghini spoiler mechanism is also a must for me, maybe even add a second lever to adjust the tilt besides height.

One thing I would definitely really like, and I know it's mostly for simplicity (and that it's probably less supercar-y), but a front-engine car would be really great, the lineup kinda lacks in that department. The Raptor was great but thats a truck, and Dom's Charger was kind of disapointing in terms of look, even if interesting in terms of functions. So yeah muscle car or JDM I would not mind, but a fully featured front engine car would be my wish :)

McLaren have a successor to the P1 coming up for next year and Aston Martin are set to release the Valhalla. The Lotus Evija is going to be electric, but would be cool in yellow. 1: Agreed that McLaren is a likely candidate, but remember that we did recently get a 1:8 Technic Mac, which was in a way the answer to those who didn’t want to pay $400 for functions they’d never use for a shelf model. I would love to see something more iconic than the new 750S, such as the F1, where it all started. This is my answer to 1 and 2, but on that note, for 2: would love to see the GMA T50, the spiritual successor to the F1. Finally, for functions; 3: pneumatics. There are many supercars with adjustable suspension, but once the system is in, it could open doors, engine covers, wings, etc. They’d have to bring back the air tank to smooth out the operation a little bit though.

1 I think it could be Pagani but there new car was the utopia so I think they could do a Pagani but most likely would be the koeniggsegg cc850 it’s pretty new and a beautiful supercar but it could be anything heck it could be a mclaren Sabre wait as I’m writing this a mclaren Sabre would make a ton of sense but idk
2 I think a big hummer would be crazy just for how much presence it would have but any truck would be cool
3 definitely keep the gear box and fake engine but I think if they made an engine that has a manual gearbox with a stick shift that would be awesome but super complicated

    As for the three questions:
    1. I think we'll definitely see a fifth brand, in a fifth different color, to keep on differentiating the collection. For many reasons I doubt it will be a Koenigsegg or a Lotus, I hope it's the Valkyrie, but it could be any brand and model, since most likely LEGO will be working on a not yet revealed car, so that they have the exclusive.
    2. They'll never do that, but I WISH Lego was to make a 1:8 scale replica of a F1 car. More detailed than the McLaren F1, larger, with custom wheels and rims and with more functions
    3. As for the functions, my dream F1 1:8 scale lego set would be featuring working DRS (activated by a simple lever near it, no need for a complex mechanism that can be activated from the cockpit) and most importantly working gearbox. As you Balazs I started not enjoying so much the gearbox on recent supercars, since it serves no real purpose. On the contrary on an F1 model it would pose a challenge both for designers as well as for builders, since it would be really complex to pack the gearbox in the rear with the engine due to the limited space and the complex shape of the engine cover and rear as a whole, plus the complexity of incorporating a paddle shifting mechanism on the front of the car, due to the even more limited space. They could even be attempting a movable paddles mechanism as CaDa did in their Viva Hypercar.
I repeat: i am aware they'll never make such set, it'd have a very limited market, they will stick with supercars, BUT I only say that a F1 car would be a challenge to design, and would be for us consumers a really challenging set, giving a purpose to overlooked functions like the shifting mechanism and the gearbox

Man, it's been too long we've had any ferrari f1 car at all. The RB19 would be sooo good too, also given how iconic it has become. Another icon like the Ferrari F2001or the Mclaren MP4/4 would be the most instant of instant buys for me. F1 icons from the 50's as well, like the Ferrari 500 or Alfa 159. A man can dream, ey?

I'm believe that Lego get better with next F1 - Mercedes. Empty spaces shoud be filled in style. ERS-imitation (or real, a full-fledged turbine paired with a motor, working wents and especially DRS-activation.
Also we need HOG - simple decision from 42000, but change game totally.
Maybe not Ferrari in super-scale (I read comments😁), but anyone F1 team will be great with functions

1 - I'm probably thinking about either the Koenigsegg CC850 or the Jesko Attack
2 - Though it's not gonna happen, my dream LEGO Technic 1:8 scale car would be either the 1994 McLaren F1.

To me the issue with Koenigsegg is the category of cars they make. 1/8th has always been supercar. Koenigsegg is technically a hypercar. As I sat here and typed that it hit me, the Chiron is a hypercar. So disregard on that lol. I'm dreaming of a Koenigsegg for the next one but from my understanding its seemingly a Mclaren.

I think it's most realistic we will see an AM or McLaren. for Aston Martin, I would love to see the Vulcan (In British racing green/dark green), Valkyrie (In dark gray or AM Green, but if it's gonna be the Valkyrie I doubt it would be AM green as they have to make a new color for that), or DBS (In black or Burgundy), but if it's gonna be an AM, it will probably be the Valhalla (in white), the next car in the 00 line of AM. If it's gonna be a McLaren, I think I and most people would love to see the P1 (which I give a low chance for it to be that yellow-ish orange color) or 765LT (in Dark blue). I do think that they have the biggest chance for Mclaren.
