Great video Darin and 100% correct about the pre-heat vs. "free" heat modes. People get those confused all the time. Pre-heat mode should only be used to heat the engine block and never while driving. Also, AH says that a heat source should be selected while driving and using "free heat" mode, just as you said, even though that heat source may never light off because the engine keeps the boiler tank above setpoint. An enabled heat source ensures the AH can also activate the zone circ pumps and cozy fans so that heat can be moved into the coach zones. And if you parked for lunch, for example, and the boiler cooled off and fell below setpoint, then the diesel burner would light off automatically. Now please post this to every RV forum in the galaxy.

Question: In addition to my multiplexer (Firefly) having zones called "FRONT", REAR" & "MID" (3 A/C units on roof), I have another zone called "SYSTEM" with only an "AquaHot" button and temp control......what is the "SYSTEM" used for? (p.s. 1) FRONT unit is A/C+Heat Pump+AquaHot, 2) MID unit is only A/C, 3) REAR unit is A/C+AquaHot).

We find that going down the road in colder weather the motor aid is really not hot enough to provide interior heat through the floor heat exchangers. We always need to engage the burner to provide adequate heat providing we don't have any line kinks with the slides retracted while driving.. Is there any way to increase the air flow through the heat exchangers???
